The sun had barely risen, yet the rush of the morning had already set in. Sanna was late again, as usual. The ticking clock in the kitchen seemed to mock her as she hastily finished her breakfast, barely tasting the food. Her mother's voice echoed from the hallway, urging her to hurry up.

"Mumma, have you seen my car keys?" Sanna shouted, searching frantically around the dining table. She finally spotted them near the fruit bowl, grabbed them, and sprinted towards the garage.

However, as she approached her car, Sanna's heart sank. A pool of liquid under the vehicle caught her eye. She knelt down and touched it a thick, oily substance. The car's engine had been giving her trouble for days, but she had ignored it, hoping it would magically fix itself. Now, it was clear the problem had worsened. The car wouldn't start, and she had no time to mess with it.

"Ugh, not today!" she groaned, frustrated. There was no way she could drive it to college now. Without a second thought, she pulled out her phone and quickly booked a ride.

"Mumma! Please send Dev to pick me up from college later, okay?" she shouted again before rushing out the door...

At college :

The day unfolded like any other. Classes were attended, notes were taken, but Sanna's mind was elsewhere. During a break between classes, she and her friends found their usual spot in the courtyard, exchanging gossip and laughter.

"Riya, tu apni PG ki problem solve karne ka soch rahi hai ki nahi?" ("Riya, are you thinking of solving your PG problem or not?") Sanna asked, concerned.

"I know, yaar. I need to shift somewhere soon. Waise bhi, maalkin bohot nakhre dikhati hai," ("Anyway, the landlady shows a lot of attitude,")Riya replied, rolling her eyes.

Sanna chuckled, but before she could respond, the bell rang, signaling the end of the break. They hurried back to class, where the rest of the day flew by.

After their last lecture, Sanna and Riya walked down the staircase, still deep in conversation about Riya's accommodation dilemma.

"Yaar, tu toh har time late ho jaati hai... ab PG bhi badalna hai. Ek kaam kar, kahin close to college dekh le, kam se kam time par toh pahunch jaayegi,"("Seriously, Riya, you're always running late... and now you need to find a new PG too! Why don't you look for a place close to college? That way, you'll at least make it to class on time,") Sanna teased, wrapping her scarf around her face to protect against the harsh sunlight and pollution.

As they reached the ground floor, they heard someone call out. It was Sumit, one of their classmates.

"Hey, Sanna, Riya! Tumse kuch discuss karna tha," ("Hey Sanna, Riya! Got a minute? I need to chat with you about something,") Sumit said, waving them over.

They chatted for a few minutes, mostly about a group project that was due soon. Sumit was always the over prepared one, and Sanna couldn't help but smirk as he rattled off his ideas.

Riya, growing impatient, finally said, "Chal na, Sanna. Kuch khane chalte hai, I need some fresh air."( "Let's go, Sanna! I'm starving, and I could use some fresh air.")

"Okay, let's go to the market then," Sanna agreed.

They crossed the road, with Sanna texting her brother to pick her up from the market later. As they reached the other side, they noticed a boy trying to stop a cab.

Riya, never one to hold back, shouted, "Bro, hume bhi market jaana hai, hum already late ho rahe hain... If you don't mind, can we share the ride together?"("Hey, bro! We also need to go to the market, and we're already running late... If you don't mind, can we hitch a ride with you??"Riya shouted)
