It had been a while since things between Keyan and Sanna had settled into a comfortable rhythm. The air around them felt lighter as the rollercoaster of emotions they had endured finally seemed to take a pause. College life flowed smoothly, their late-night conversations becoming a norm, and Keyan, despite his rough edges, was growing closer to Sanna with each passing day. Yet, peace never lasted too long in their world.
**Riya's Plot**
Riya sat in her room, her phone buzzing continuously with messages. She had been calculating her next move for days, ever since Sanna and Keyan's relationship began to look more solid. Jealousy gnawed at her, and she couldn't stand seeing them so close. Each time she saw them together, it was like a fresh wound opening. She knew she had to act fast. She wasn't going to let Sanna have all the happiness while she stood on the sidelines.
She bit her lip, a cunning smile creeping across her face as she dialed Mansi's number. It rang twice before the call connected.
"Mansi?" Riya's voice was smooth, almost too sweet. "I've got a plan. But I'll need your help."
Mansi chuckled on the other end of the line. "Is it about Keyan?" Her voice had a teasing edge, as if she was already amused by the idea.
"Of course, it's about him," Riya said. "You spent two nights with him, didn't you? It's time you stirred up a little trouble."
Mansi's silence was a sign that she was listening carefully. She still had unresolved feelings for Keyan, feelings that Riya knew she could manipulate. Riya filled her in on the plan. They needed to push Keyan to a place where he'd look guilty an old flame meeting her 'new boyfriend' sounded like the perfect cover. All they needed was Keyan to take the bait.
**The Trap is Set**
The next evening, Keyan's phone buzzed with a call from Mansi. He glanced at it with a frown. He hadn't heard from her in a while and wasn't particularly interested in reconnecting. Reluctantly, he answered.
"Keyan, hey, can we meet up?" Her voice was soft, almost pleading.
Keyan frowned, already feeling like this wasn't going to end well. "Meet up? What for?"
"I... I want you to meet my new boyfriend," Mansi said quickly, as if she had rehearsed the line a hundred times. "It's important to me."
Keyan hesitated. Every fiber of his being screamed no, but her insistence was persistent, almost desperate. "I don't think that's a good idea, Mansi," he replied, his tone firm.
"Please, Keyan. Just one last time. I won't bother you after this, I swear." Mansi's voice cracked, and that was enough to break his resistance.
With a reluctant sigh, Keyan gave in. "Fine, but Aryan's coming with me."
Mansi's voice brightened on the other end. "Great! See you at The Alley Bar at eight."
Keyan hung up, already regretting the decision.
