The Day After the Party
The morning after the party, Sanna woke up with a throbbing headache and a flood of memories that made her cringe. She lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, her mind replaying the events of the previous night. She had kissed Keyan. Out of nowhere. What was she thinking???
As she got ready for the day, she couldn't shake off the embarrassment. What would Keyan think of her now? Did he find her impulsive or foolish? She groaned inwardly, wishing she could turn back time.
On the other side of town, Keyan was having a similar morning. He couldn't stop thinking about the kiss, the feel of her lips against his, and the way she had looked at him right before it happened. But more than that, he was worried about what Sanna thought of him now. Did she regret it? Was she avoiding him because she was embarrassed? He needed to talk to her, but he didn't want to push too hard....
Throughout the day, they both did their best to avoid each other. In college, Sanna made sure to stay busy, ducking into classrooms or hanging out with her friends whenever she thought she might run into Keyan. On the other hand, Keyan kept his distance, though his eyes often wandered in her direction, trying to catch even a glimpse of her.
Keyan's pov
By evening, Keyan's patience had worn thin. He couldn't stand the silence any longer. He grabbed his phone, pacing his room, as he debated what to say. Should he address the kiss? Or just act like it never happened??
Finally, he decided on something simple and sent her a text:
Keyan: "Hey, Sanna. Hope you're doing okay. Was thinking, maybe we could hang out tomorrow? Just a small group me, Aryan, Riya, and you. What do you think?"He stared at the screen, waiting anxiously for her response. Minutes felt like hours until finally, his phone buzzed. He quickly opened the message. He stared at the screen, waiting anxiously for her response. Minutes felt like hours until finally, his phone buzzed. He quickly opened the message.
Sanna: "Hey. I'm good. Yeah, sure, that sounds nice."
Keyan let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding. At least she wasn't completely avoiding him. But what did that mean for them? Was she okay with what happened, or was she just being polite? He couldn't figure it out, but at least this was a step forward.
The Next Day: The Outing
The next day, the four of them Keyan, Aryan, Sanna, and Riya set out for a day trip just outside the city. They had planned to stay overnight at a small resort, giving them time to relax and unwind.
The day had been fun, with plenty of laughter and lighthearted teasing, but as evening set in, things started to change. Aryan had been trying his hardest to impress Riya throughout the day, pulling out all the stops to make her laugh and keeping the conversation lively. His efforts were clearly paying off, as Riya seemed genuinely charmed.
