The treadmill

Mia's POV:

I wake up tossing and turning in my hospital bed.I look to the side and see 2 doctors putting some stickers on me.
"I know you have to do all these check ups and all but next time don't wake me up"
"Sorry miss Robert's,I just came In here to double check your heart rate and blood pressure,can you sit up please"
"Like I have a choice"
I say rolling my eyes as she places my finger in a heart rate monitor.
"Right your heart rate is perfect now your blood pressure."
"I hate that machine thing,can you do it quick please"
"Of course just put your arm out for me."
I put my arm out as she wraps the band around.
I squeeze my eyes shut as the machine starts to tighten around my arm.
It eventually starts to burn.
"ow!"
"I have to say,you have one of the lower pain tolerances I've ever seen in my 15 years of being a doctor,that was only on level 2 and there's 12"
"I'm normally the type of person to cause pain not feel it"
"No surprised there,anyway your results all look normal,you can call you girlfriend and we can send you home"
"Thank god"

A FEW HOURS LATER

Charlottes POV:

"Mia you can't try to outsmart me when you have to sticks of metal supporting you"
"It's not my fault they gave me crutches!"
"Let's just go inside"

Me,Mia,tinisha and Melissa make our way inside the house locking the door.
Mia doesn't know it but while she was in the hospital me and tinisha had planned a welcome home gift for her.
We went to the shop and bought loads of different candles,make up and everything she likes.
However,tinisha had to pick most of the make up out as I'm not really an appearance kind of person.

I help Mia over to the kitchen and her eyes widen in shock as she sees a massive basket on the counter with a note saying,

Dear Mia,

Welcome home babe,I've missed your company so much and I love you.
I'm so glad you're ok.
Me and tinisha have made you this gift basket to show our appreciation towards you.

"Aww guys ,you really didn't have to do this"
"It's just a little surprise we prepared"
"I love it,I'm guessing tinisha picked out the make up"
Tinisha goes and gives Mia a hug before speaking up.
"Well,my mum isn't really a makeup crazy person so I picked out some of the most tending things"
"I love it tinisha,thank you honey, you can join me when I try these out if you want"
"Omg thank you Mia I would love to!"
"Alright sounds good"
Tinisha and Melissa go up to bed leaving me and Charlotte alone.
She sits down at the counter and i go to make dinner.
"What would you like for dinner?"
"I don't mind, you can pick sweetheart"
"Should we just do pasta"
"That works"
She smiles at me before I start cooking.
I decide to start conversation to fill the silence.
"So..any fights with doctors today?"
"No but there was this one lady,she was a real bitc-"
"Amelia!"
"Sorry sweetheart,but she was a bitch"
"What did she do?"
"You know how I hate those blood pressure machines?,well she put it on my arm like what the hell was that for!"
I turn around to face her with a concerned face.
Sometimes I forget how dumb she can be.
"Mia,I thought you were smarter than this"
"Look I know they have to do all these tests but they even had the AUDACITY to wake me up"
"What time did they wake you up"
"2pm.."
"Mia! Why were you asleep at 2pm"
"I was tired"
"Sometimes I wonder if you were dropped as a child"
"Fun fact,I fell of the treadmill in year 7,but then I dropped out"
