Chapter 8

IT'S BEEN A WEEK since I had that walk with Midoriya and Bakugo to the store. I've spent the week training my quirk and working on my physical fitness.

I was taking a sip from my drink eyes glued on my phone before I heard my mom yelling my name and running towards me.

"Y/n, Y/n"!!"she exclaimed her eyes sparkling with excitement. "It's here!!, Your results for the entrance exam!"

I nearly spilled my drink as I processed what she just said. A mixed of excitement and nervousness washing over me.

I placed my phone down and rushed over to grab the letter from my mother's hand.

I could see the big red stamp that was on the letter and with the words 'U.A high' was signed at the bottom.

With the letter clutched tightly in my hands, I took a deep breath, trying to calm my suddenly pounding heart.

This was it. Everything I'd been training and preparing for was about to be revealed.

I opened the letter and was surprised when all there was in there was a tiny circle object.

I grabbed it out of the letter and placed it on the counter confused on what it's supposed to be or do. Just then the object showed a projection of All might in a yellow suit.

"Booyah! I am here as a projection now!" He said really up close to the camera.

"ALL MIGHT?!" I yelled in excitement

He then coughed as he backed up and looked at the camera again. "Thank you for taking the entrance exam young L/n. As you may know, you got a total of 60 combat points and 15 rescue points placing you 2nd. You put yourself at risk prioritizing someone's else safety over your own which spoke loud about your character. We here at U.A value bravery, selflessness, and the dedication to serve others. Your actions during the exam showed that you possessed those qualities."

"You truly have what it takes to become a great hero in the future. Being a hero isn't just about fighting, it's about standing up for what's right and saving others in need."

My eyes widened in awe as I watched All might continue to speak.

Is this actually happening?

All might, the number one hero himself, was complimenting and praising me for my skills?

It all felt too surreal. I couldn't help but smile as I felt a sense of pride and honor swell over me.

"Young L/n, Your journey to becoming a hero starts now, Welcome to U.A high."

I then heard my mom scream and rush to hug me tightly.

"Oh my goodness!" She exclaimed

You did it honey!!! I'm so proud of you! You got accepted to U.A!" Tears falling out of her eyes while she was jumping up and down still hugging me.

As my mother continued to hold me, I couldn't stop my tears from falling down on my cheeks as I stood there shocked still trying to comprehend that I actually got in.

I really did it.

Dad, are you proud of me?

I knew this was just the beginning of my journey to becoming a hero but I was determined to make the most out of this opportunity to learn and grow.
