"The Energy Hero: Lumina!"
THE CLASSROOM FELL into silence for a brief moment but not long before a murmur of admiration and approval filled throughout the room.
Mina's eyes widened as she spoke, "Damn, Lumina! That name is seriously badass! Not saying that just because it has my name in it..."
Mina's comment caught me off guard, and I couldn't help but laugh. "Thanks Mina," I replied, a smile on my face.
"Yeah, that name sounds sick!" Kaminari added, "Sounds like a star!"
"Lumina" Midnight repeated, appreciating the name. "It suits you. Light and power, all in one name. Well done, L/n!"
"Thank you, Ms. Midnight" I responded, feeling like I accomplished something. "I'm glad you think it suits me."
I looked around the classroom and I noticed the uninterested look on Bakugo's face, but I could care less about that human bomb. The only reaction I really cared about was Todoroki's. I glanced back at him, expecting his expressionless face but to my surprise, I saw his lips slightly curve upwards into a faint, half - smile.
I made my way back to my seat, seeing Yaoyorozu give me two thumbs up to which I gave a grateful nod. I settled back into my seat, turning to face Todoroki beside me. A small smile played at the corner of my mouth as I spoke.
"Thank you, Todoroki," I said softly, "I really like the hero name you picked."
"Shoto" he said, voice firm and his gaze meeting mines.
"Huh..?" I asked, confused.
"Call me Shoto" he replied, not breaking eye contact. "You said it yourself that we should address each other casually."
I stared at him, stunned by his words and the intensity behind them. He sat there with an unreadable expression waiting for my response.
I swallowed, my heart skipping a beat as I looked into his beautiful heterochromia eyes that I swear I could get lost deep in.
"All right.." I said finally, my voice surprisingly steady. "Shoto.."
A flicker of something..relief? Maybe satisfaction?...passed over Shoto's face. "Good," he replied simply, his voice still steady and even - toned.
For a brief moment, we sat there in silence, gazes still locked. Then, without another word, he shifted his focus back to the front. Just as I was about to turn back in my seat, I could see a small hint of a smile playing at the corner of his lips.
