Chapter 20: Sports Festival

"UH....I DIDN'T KNOW there would be so much people." Midoriya said from beside me, sweating and looking up at the large crowd.

"I hope we're still able to give our best performances even with all these eyes watching us." Iida said, "I guess it's just another aspect of being a hero."

"Present Mic sure did talk us up a lot." Kirishima said, "kinda makes me nervous. How you feeling Bakugo?"

"I'm not worried." he said with a sinister look on his face. "Makes me wanna win this thing even more."

"They haven't been getting as much screen time, but this next group is still full of talent!" Present Mic said loudly over the speaker.

"Welcome, Hero course Class- 1B followed by general studies classes C, D, and E. Support classes F, G, and H! and finally the business classes I, J, and K! Give it up for all of U.A's first-year contestants!"

I looked around at the group of students, all of us stood there anxiously waiting for the start of the festival.

That was when I heard a voice from the front

"Now, the introductory speech!"

I looked up to see Midnight standing in the front, looking like a confident, beautiful, pro hero with her whip in hand. She was standing on a platform at the center of the stadium.

"Oh my gosh... it's the pro hero Midnight!" I whispered to Midoriya who looked just as excited as me.

"Someone should talk to Ms. Midnight about what she's wearing.." Kirishima said hiding his face with his hands.

"Yeah... That costume should come with a warning." Kaminari added.

I couldn't help but chuckle at both of their comments, It was definitely.....revealing, to say the least. But she somehow made it work, and seemed completely unbothered by the attention she was getting.

"Silence everyone!" she said, "For the student pledge, we have Class - 1A: Katsuki Bakugo!"

All eyes fell on Bakugo as we were all shocked. Bakugo out of everyone? Was picking him for the speech really such a good idea?

Said boy quietly made his way to the platform with no expression and walked up the stairs.

"He's the first year rep?!" Midoriya said with his eyes widened.

"I guess that hot- head did finish first in the entrance exam." Sero said.

I wonder what kind of speech he was going to give, if he was going to say anything at all. Even from a distance, I could tell that he didn't wanna be there, and probably didn't care about giving a speech in front of the whole school and the entire country watching on television.
