"THE THREE OF us would be horses with Iida in the front, using Uraraka's quirk." Midoriya explained, "Iida, L/N, and I would be lighter, so we'd maneuver around really easily. No one would catch us."
"Good idea!" Uraraka said
"That could work." I added
"The only thing is... we'd still have to find a pretty strong rider. I don't know who could do it," Midoriya said with his hand on his chin.
"I know it's not much - but it's the only evasive plan I could think of this fast."
"A good strategy - but I'm sorry." Iida said with his head facing the ground.
'huh? why is he sorry for...?'
He looked back up and said, "I'm afraid I must refuse your offer."
The three of us all gasped simultaneously, all shocked at what Iida was saying.
"Since this all started...." Iida began, "I've been losing to you and L/n. Please don't take this as an insult, you're both great friends but if I continue to follow you both, I'll never get stronger. Bakugo and Todoroki already challenged you Midoriya, but they aren't the only ones who see you as a rival."
I stood there quietly, unable to find any words to respond. I always admired Iida for his strong spirit and determination, and now I was hearing him say he felt like he wasn't growing as a hero because of us.
Iida turned back and walked towards his group with Todoroki, Kaminari, and Yaoyorozu. They were all staring directly at us.
"Midoriya and L/n, I'll try my best to defeat you."
"Whoa...Iida" Uraraka blurted out while nervously looking at Midoriya and me.
'I guess this is it. Everyone's an enemy.'
"What do we do now? We're still missing one more person." I asked
I turned to Uraraka, seeking her thoughts on the situation, when I noticed Midoriya suddenly walking away from our group and walking towards someone.
"Where are you going?" Uraraka called out to him.
I watched as Midoriya approached Tokoyami, putting his hand on his shoulder. The two of them exchanged a few words and after a moment, the duo walked back towards us, stopping just infront of Uraraka and I.
"Tokoyami will be our fourth person." Midoriya said firmly.
I looked at Tokoyami - who was silently standing beside Midoriya. He looked quite unfazed by the entire situation.
"Alright, so that makes us a full team now." I said
Uraraka smiled and nodded, "Yes! Now we're all ready to kick butt in the Calvary battle!" she exclaimed, pumping her fist in the air.
