Chapter 21: Sports Festival

                     

SUDDENLY, I WAS back and I realized the robot was still falling. But, there was something strange happening. I felt this feeling of weightlessness as if I had suddenly become much lighter, almost as if I was floating.

I noticed something else that was strange - there was a newfound energy surging through my body. The pounding headache had suddenly vanished, replaced with focus. I felt alive.

I raised my hand, pointing it at the falling robot. With burst of determination and focus, I channeled all my energy and released a powerful, long surge of power. It ripped though the robot, its force so intense that It tore the robot apart, sending parts of it flying in different directions.

I stood there, expecting to feel tiredness from using so much energy but to my surprise, I didn't even feel the slightest of tiredness.

"Whoa, check out that intense burst of power coming from L/n!" Present mic commented, "Talk about power and focus, folks!"

"No way...."

"She made it look so easy!"

'Gotta keep running!'

My mind was racing with questions as I continued to run - who was that voice in my head? why did they help me? I had so much questions and little answers but for now, I had to keep pushing forward and stay focused on what was happening in the present.

As I reached the second part of the race, I was slightly taken aback to find large stone pillars that were connected by ropes. But a wave of relief washed over me as I realized this should be easy - I could simply fly over them. I raised my hands back and sent energy from both of my arms. I zoomed through the obstacle with ease, feeling the wind blowing on my face and pulling my hair slightly back.

I finally made it through the second part of the obstacle and I was running to the next. I finally made it and no surprise - I saw Todoroki. He was already walking on this mine - field. Just as I was about to carefully place my foot on the ground, I heard a loud voice come from behind me.

I turned my head and saw Bakugo zooming past me and flying towards Todoroki. 'What the hell?'

"It's over!" he said laughing, "Bastard! Your declaration of war was to the wrong person!"

Bakugo landed right by Todoroki trying to send a punch which Todoroki easily blocked and iced his arm. Both of the boys were sending each other punches and blows while still being cautious about the mines beneath the ground.

'They're crazy!' Think y/n! how can I quickly get over these mines.'

And that's when it hit me, I had an idea - and probably a stupid and crazy one. I carefully made my way across the dirt- covered floor, carefully avoiding the mines underneath. As I reached the center, I put up my shield for protection and purposely stepped on a mine, just as I planned - the explosion sent me flying towards the two boys. A mischievous grin spread across my face as I yelled "INCOMING!"
