THE ADVENTURES OF ROSE AND REN TAKAMI

CHAPTER 18: ROSE'S FIRST FIELD TRIP

After the three of us came back from Blue Bay Harbor yesterday...I was in my bed, sleeping while I was holding the new plush that I recently brought. I got woken up by mommy and I sat up on my bed while I was rubbing the tiredness out of my eyes. "Morning mommy" I said. "Morning little chick, are you ready for the day?" mommy said. "I am mommy" I said. "Let's help you get changed ok" she said as I nodded my head as mommy was helping me to get changed before the two of us went downstairs.

While mommy was making breakfast, I noticed daddy came into the kitchen and sat down at the table. "Morning daddy" I said as I gave him a hug. "Morning little chick" daddy said as he gave me a hug when mommy gave the two of us our breakfast. Once mommy got her breakfast, the three of us were easting our breakfast. 

After the three of us had our breakfast, I was helping daddy clear the table as mommy was sorting out our bags for the day. "Why are you putting my brushes into my bag mommy?" I asked when I went up to her. "Do you want to go on this trip or not little chick" mommy said when she looked at me. "Oh yeah, I want to go on this trip mommy" I said. After the three of us sorted out the things that needed doing, all of us were heading to the car so that the three of us go to school.

<TIME SKIP>

After the three of us arrived at the school, I noticed Brody and Levi got out of their car. "Hey, isn't that Brody and Levi over there?" I asked as I pointed to the two of them heading towards the school. "Yeah, it is. Good eye little chick" mommy said. After mommy parked the car, she honked the horn to get their attention. 

The three of us got out of the car so that we can walk up to the two of them. "Hey Brody, Levi" daddy said. "Hi guys" I said as I waved a little. "Hey guys, how are you?" mommy said. "Hey, I'm fine" Brody said. "Why did you bring Rose's bag with you?" Levi asked. "Rose is going on her first field trip and my dad is going with her so she's safe" mommy said. "Are you excited to go on your first field trip Rose?" Brody asked. "Yeah, I am" I said as I was getting excited since my flapping my wings to show my excitement away to the others. Brody and Levi laughed a little. 

"The two of us better head in. See you two later" Levi said. "Yeah, see you guys later" mommy said. "Let's meet up with Brian and the others" daddy said. The three of us are heading towards the bus that will take us to the place the class are heading to when gramps came up to the three of us. "Hi gramps" I said. "Hey birdie. Are you ready for the field trip?" gramps said. "I'm ready to go gramps" I said. "Here's her overnight bag dad. It has her brushes for her hair and wings and it has some snacks in there for the bus too" mommy said. "Thanks Kanan" he said. Mommy and daddy went down to my level to look at me.

"What are you going to do while you're there little chick?" daddy asked. "I'll stay close to gramps and listen to what he and the other teacher would say" I said. "And what would you do when monsters are going to attack?" mommy asked. "I'll find a place to hide and let you know" I said as I pointed to my communicator on my wrist. "That's really good little chick" mommy said as the two of them were giving me a hug. 

"Have fun on this trip little chick" daddy said. "Course I will" I said as the two of them stood back up. "Will you look after her dad?" mommy asked. "Yeah, I will Kanan" gramps said. The two of us got onto the bus as we sat near the back of the bus. I noticed mommy and daddy through the window and I started to wave at the two of them. They were waving at me back as the bus started to leave.

<TIME SKIP A LITTLE>

After we got to the destination, the bus parked up nearby as the teacher would tell all of us on what we would be doing. Once the teacher explained what we are doing, all of us are getting off the bus and heading into the hotel we're staying at. Once me and gramps got into the room, the two of us put our stuff onto the bed and sorted the stuff out before leaving again to look around the area.

Once the two of us were looking around the area, the other teacher said that he put mystery items around the city and he said that we got to find them and all of us got to be in groups of two. He also said that whoever gets the most items will win a prize. Once he gave all of us the first clue, all of us went in separate ways.

Gramps was reading the first clue that was on the piece of paper. It says 'A story, they say, can take you to a place far away. But a book still needs a place to stay' he said. "I think I know where the next clue is, is it..." I started to say as I whispered the answer into his ear. "That's right birdie" gramps said as the two of us were heading into the direction of the next clue.

<TIME SKIP A LITTLE BIT MORE>

After the eventful day, the two of us were back in the hotel room just lying in bed after gramps brushed my wings before all of us go back to Summer Cove tomorrow. "I really enjoyed this trip gramps" I said when I looked up at gramps. "I really glad you did. Do you want to see Kanan and Keigo before we go to sleep?" he said. "Can we" I said as I turned around to face him. "Sure we can birdie" gramps said as he got his iPad out to try and facetime with mommy and daddy. Then mommy and daddy appeared on the screen.

"Hi mommy! Hi daddy!" I said as I was waving at the two of them. "Hey little chick, Brian" daddy said. "Hey dad, little chick...did you have fun?" mommy said. "Yeah, I did...didn't I gramps?" I said as I looked up at him. "Yeah, she did" gramps said. Then the four of kept on talking about or day before gramps turned his iPad off and put it away before the two of us went to sleep.

{THE NEXT MORNING}

Once I got woken up by gramps, the two of us got changed before gramps brushed my wings and my hair. When the two of us left the hotel, we met up with the others where the bus is. The teacher talked to all of us before we went onto the bus. After all of us went onto the bus, the bus left to head back to Summer Cove.

<TIME SKIP>

Once the bus arrived at the school, the bus stopped. All of us got off the bus when we got our things. The two of us went into the school since we want to see the others. When the two of us were walking through the corridor before bumping onto Brody. "Hey Mr Matthews, Rose. How was the field trip?" Brody said. "It was great" gramps said. "I had fun. Where's mommy and daddy?" I asked. "They are in the base with the others" Brody said before he left. The two of us were heading towards the base where the others were.

When the two of us went into the base, we saw daddy stand next to Mick as their backs were turned as mommy and the others were finishing their extra training. "Hey, when does Rose and your dad come back?" we heard Sarah say. "I don't know. My dad messaged me saying the two of them would be back later" we heard mommy say when Mick and daddy went up to all of them. Then gramps silently told me to fly towards all of them.

The others noticed some flapping sounds. "Is that your wings flapping Keigo?" I heard Calvin ask daddy. "No, it isn't me that's doing it" daddy said. The others were looking around the base to find out what's causing the flapping sound. Then I noticed mommy looking at the table to find my overnight bag on there.

"Did you put that bag there Mick?" mommy asked. "No, I didn't" Mick said. She noticed gramps walking to the table. "Hey dad, how was the trip?" mommy said as the others were looking at him. "It was great" gramps said. "So it was you who put her bag down onto the table" daddy said. "So if you're here, where's Rose?" Hayley asked. 

"If you want to know where she is then..." gramps started to say as he pointed behind them towards me. All of them turned around to look at me. "Little chick!" mommy and daddy said as the two of them came up to me and gave me a really big hug.

Then me and gramps were telling all of them about what we did on this trip before all of us are going to go home after the really long day from the trip.
