CHAPTER 26: NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS FOR THE TAKAMI FAMILY

Once the four of us celebrated daddy's birthday a couple days ago, it's finally New Year's Eve since it's the first one that the four of us can spend as a family before I go back to school in a couple of weeks. I managed to wake up, stretching while I was ruffling my feathers before getting changed. After I got changed, I went into the bathroom.

After I left the bathroom, I noticed Ren heading towards the bathroom. "Morning Ren" I said when I got his attention and gave him a hug. "Morning Rose" Ren said as he gave me a hug before heading into the bathroom and then I saw mommy coming up towards me. "Morning mommy" I said as I went up to her and grabbed her hand. "Morning little chick. Ready to start the day?" mommy said. "Yeah" I said as the two of us went downstairs for some breakfast.

When the two of us went into the kitchen, I went into the next room to sit down at the table since mommy went to do our breakfast. Suddenly, I noticed Ren and daddy came in to sit down at the table. "Morning daddy" I said as I was giving him a hug. "Morning little chick" daddy said as he gave me a hug back. Then mommy brought our breakfast in and put it onto the table for all of us.

Once the four of us finished our breakfast, me and Ren were helping the two of them clear the table. "How about the four of us go into town to get some stuff for tomorrow before the New Year Celebrations tonight" mommy said. "Ok mommy. Are we gonna see Ellie and her family tonight?" Ren said as the two of us looked at the two of them. "We probably will do little chick" daddy said as the two of us were getting excited. Once the four of us got our shoes and coats on, all of us were leaving the house.

When the four of us got into town, all of us were starting to get some stuff before me and Ren accidentally bumped into someone. "Are you ok grammy, gramps" I heard someone say. "Yeah, we're ok" another one said as the two of us looked up to see three people. "We're really sorry" the two of us said. "It's ok, it was an accident. How are you doing birdies?" Ellie said. "Hi Ellie, we're doing ok, aren't we Ren?" I said. "Hey Ellie and yeah, we are doing ok" Ren said as mommy and daddy came up to us. "Hey little birdie, Rei, Endeavor" daddy said as the two of them waved a little to the others. 

"Are we going to see you tonight Ellie?" Ren asked. "You probably will if you keep an eye out ok" Ellie said. "Yeah" I said. "We would like to stay and chat some more but we need to go to Ellie's house to do any final preparations" Endeavor said. "Yeah, see you tonight" Ellie said as all of us waved before heading our separate ways. After the four of us got what we needed, all of us went home to put the stuff that we got away.

After the three of us went into my house, we saw my dad, Shoto, Natsuo and Fuyumi watching some TV. "Hey guys, we're back" gramps said. "How are you?" grammy asked. "We're fine mom and do you want some help with that?" Fuyumi said as her and Natsuo were helping with the groceries. 

"What took you so long little mouse?" my dad asked. "Oh, the three of us were talking to uncle Hawks and the others" I said as I took a seat next to him on the sofa. "I bet he said that they will see us tonight, didn't they" my dad said. "More like Ren said as the others agreed" I said when the others came back.

"Can't wait to see the four of them" Natsuo said. "Same" Fuyumi said. "Why don't we have some lunch outside for a change" gramps said. "Yeah" I said when all of us went outside to have some lunch before all of us need to get ready for the celebrations tonight.

<TIME SKIP WHEN ITS NIGHTTIME>

After a while of sorting some stuff out, it was time for the New Year Celebrations. The four of us got to a large area that was full of stalls. "This looks amazing" I said. "And colorful" Ren said as he held my hand as the two of us were walking in front of mommy and daddy a little. "Don't go too far or we won't see you ok" mommy said. "Ok mommy" I said. "Can I have some cotton candy please?" Ren asked as he pointed at a stall that's selling cotton candy. "I don't see why not" daddy said as the four of us went over there.

When the four of us got to the stall with the cotton candy, the vendor greeted us. "What can I get you?" the vendor asked. "We would like four cotton candy please" mommy said he was making cotton candy for the four of us and after a while, he gave all of us cotton candy. "Thank you" the two of us said after daddy paid for it. The four of us were checking out the other stalls as me and Ren were getting excited as we were eating the cotton candy.

After a while of playing some games from the stalls, the four of us started to look for the Todoroki family. Suddenly, I noticed someone nearby. "Isn't that who I think it is over there" I said when I pointed in a certain direction as the three of them looked at the direction I was pointing at. "Let's go find out" daddy said as the four of us went that way to meet the person.

Once the four of us got a bit closer, all of us saw someone that we recognise. "Hey little birdie" daddy said as the four of us went up to her. "Hey guys, how are you enjoying the celebrations?" Ellie said when she saw the four of us. "It's really great, we had some cotton candy. How are you?" mommy said. "I'm ok, thanks for asking" Ellie said. "Do you mind if the four of us sit with you and family Ellie?" Ren asked. "I don't see why not since my dad told me to find you" she said as the four of us were following her to where her family were sitting.

Once the five of us got to where the rest of Ellie's family was. "Hey guys, look who I found" Ellie said as she got their attention. "Hey" Endeavor said as the four of us waved at all of them. "How are you Rose, Ren?" Rei asked. "I'm fine, thanks for asking Miss Todoroki" I said. "I'm doing ok, thanks for asking" Ren said since he was a little bit shy. "Is it ok if we sit with you?" mommy asked. "Yeah, come join us" Touya said as the four of us sat with them.

All of us were talking about stuff. "What have you two been up to since the last time we saw you?" daddy asked. "Not much" Ellie said. "But the school work is a little bit tough" Shoto added when Touya started to hand out the food. "Thank you for the food Touya" I said. "Yeah, thank you for the food" Ren said. 

"It's alright. So, how are you and your boyfriend doing little mouse?" Touya said. "Unfortunately, it's not going too well" Ellie said she was frowning a little. "Sorry to hear that little birdie" daddy said. "Yeah and besides, you got all of us to support you in any way if you need someone to lean on" Touya said. "Thanks guys" Ellie said.

<TIME SKIP UNTIL IT WAS TIME FOR THE FIREWORKS>

It was almost time for all of us to watch some fireworks. "I can't wait to see the fireworks" Ren said. "I can't wait either. How long is it?" I said. "In five minutes" Ellie said. "I bet you two are excited" mommy said as the two of us nodded our heads. "Do you two want another drink?" daddy asked. "No thanks daddy" Ren said. "Can I have another drink daddy" I said. "Course you can and make this your last one ok little chick" daddy said as he poured the drink. "Ok daddy" I said as I sat down next to Ren. After a while, it's almost time to see the fireworks when some people started to count down.

Suddenly, the fireworks started to explode after the people finished counting down. "The fireworks are really cool, don't you agree Ren?" I said as I looked at Ren in excitement. "Yeah, they are cool" Ren said. "Are you enjoying them little chicks?" mommy asked. "Yeah" the two of us said as we were looking at the fireworks. "Happy New Year birdies" Ellie said as she came up to the two of us. "Happy New Year Ellie" the two of us said.

When the fireworks ended, all of us cleared the rubbish and started to pack everything away and put them into our cars. After all of us got to our cars, the four of us put our stuff into daddy's car before closing it. "It was nice to see you again Ellie" I said. "It's nice to see you two again" Ellie said. "Alright little chicks, it's time to go home" daddy said. "See you soon Ellie" Ren said. "Yeah, see you soon" Ellie said as the four of us went into the car and leaving the others to head home.
