THE ADVENTURES OF ROSE AND REN TAKAMI

CHAPTER 22: ROSE'S FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL

After a couple of weeks since Ren was born, the four of us were at home. "Are you excited for your first day at school little chick?" mommy asked. "Yeah, I can't wait to make some new friends" I said. "That's good little chick. How about all of us go out into town to get what you need for school tomorrow" daddy said. "Ok daddy" I said as I was playing with Ren before all of us were having dinner. "When would I got to school?" Ren asked. "In a couple months after you turn five Ren" mommy said. "Ok mommy" Ren said as the two of us got up to put all the toys back into the boxes.

After a while, the four of us were having dinner. When we finished eating, the four of us heard the doorbell go off. "Do you still remember on what happens if somebody answers the door little chick?" daddy asked. "Yeah, I do" I said. "Take Ren and go hide ok" mommy said. "Ok mommy" I said as he nodded and took him with me to hide somewhere. The two of us were hiding in the storage room when mommy and daddy went up to the door to see who it was.

The two of them let the person in as Ren started to get a little scared as he closed his eyes really tight. "It's going to be ok Ren" I whispered to him. "I know" Ren whispered back. Suddenly, the door opened as Ren managed to kick the person. "Oww!" the two of us heard someone say as looked to see who it was. "I'm so sorry mommy" Ren said as the two of us came out of our hiding spot.

"It's ok and that was a really good kick Ren" mommy said as the two of us gave her a hug. The two of us looked up at the person and stood in front of mommy like we're protecting her when mommy put her hands on our shoulders. "It's ok...James is a friend" mommy said. "Is he one of the people that helped you and daddy before" Ren said. "Yeah, he is" daddy said. "Hi James" I said as he went down to our level. "Hi Rose. Is this your little brother?" James said. "Yeah, this my little brother, Ren" I said as Ren did a small wave. All of us went to talk in the living area.

I sat next to daddy while Ren was sitting on mommy's legs. "How are you since the last time we met?" mommy asked. "I'm fine, thanks for asking. How are you two doing?" James said. "The four of us are doing really well" daddy said. "Oh yeah, Tyler and Shelby wanted me to give you this" James said as he passed Keigo an envelope. "What is it?" I asked when I looked at the envelope. "Let's find out" mommy said as daddy opened it so that we can look at the note that was inside it.

All of us read the note as we were really shocked but excited. "So...he finally had the guts to ask her" daddy said. "Yeah, he finally did" James said. "Can you tell the two of them that we said congrats" mommy said. "Course I will" James said. "What's a wedding?" Ren asked. "It's like a ceremony" daddy said. "Well, it's time for me to go" James said. "It's nice to see you again James" mommy said. "It's nice to see you guys as well" James said as he waved at all of us before he left the house.

"Come on you two...it's time for bed" daddy said. "Ok" the two of us said. Mommy and daddy were taking the two of us upstairs into our room. "I'll read Ren a story as you will read a story to Rose" mommy said. "Ok, I'll see you in our room songbird" daddy said as the two of them were taking us into our rooms to read us a story before they go into their room.

{THE NEXT MORNING}

I just woke up as I sat up in bed, stretching as I was ruffling my feathers and left my room to head towards the bathroom that was opposite my room.  Before I went back into my room, Ren was going past to get into the bathroom. "Morning Ren" I said. "Morning Rose" Ren said before he closed the door.

After I got changed, I noticed daddy was about to head downstairs to make breakfast for the four of us. "Morning daddy" I said as I went up to him and grabbed his hand. "Morning little chick" daddy said as the two of us were heading downstairs. "Where's Ren and mommy?" I asked when the two of us went into the dining area that was next to the kitchen. "She is helping Ren to put his clothes on" daddy said as he was about to start breakfast.
