CHAPTER 5: THE RANGERS NEED SOME HELP FROM KANAN WHILE SHE'S SICK

After a fun day at the beach, I went into mommy and daddy's room when I went onto their bed to lay on top of daddy. He started to wake up when he noticed me laying on top of him. "Morning little chick" daddy said as he sat up a little. "Morning daddy" I said as he got out of bed and he picked me up to make a quick bath when the two of us went in my room. After I had a bath and the two of us got changed, we went downstairs to have some breakfast.

"Daddy...where's mommy?" I asked. "She's really sick so she's in bed ok" he said. "Ok daddy. I was thinking that we should get her some flowers to try and cheer her up" I said. "Of course we can get her some flowers little chick" daddy said as I nodded my head as the two of us were having our breakfast. After we had our breakfast, the two of us went out to the nearest store to get some flowers for mommy.

<TIME SKIP>

When the two of us came back to our house, we went into the kitchen to make her some special soup to make her feel a little bit better. The two of us started to head upstairs to their room to give mommy her surprise.

After the two of us were outside the room...daddy opened the door when we walked into the room. "You can go first little chick" daddy said. "Ok daddy" I said as I held the flowers when I sat down on the seat that was already placed next to the bed on mommy's side.

Mommy slowly started to wake up when she looked at me. "Hey little chick, shouldn't you be playing outside or something?" mommy said, grudgingly as she sat up a little. "I know mommy but I know that you are feeling really sick so I wanted to surprise you with these flowers" I said as I handed her the flowers to her when daddy came into the room with some soup.

"Thank you so much little chick" she said as she put the flowers into the jar that's filled with water. "The two of us made you some soup. Be careful...it might be hot ok songbird" daddy said as he sat on the bed as he gave her the homemade soup. "Ok, thanks lovebird" she said as she slowly started to drink the soup. "Hey Rose, how about we go meet the others at the plaza while she has some peace and quiet" he said as he put his hand out to me. "Ok daddy. See you later mommy" I said as I waved a little while the two of us left the room so mommy can relax for a little bit. 

<TIME SKIP A LITTLE BIT>

Once me and daddy arrived at the plaza, the two of us saw gramps and the others sitting at the bench as all of them were talking when gramps noticed the two of us. "Hey Keigo, birdie" gramps said. "Hey gramps" I said. "Where's Kanan Keigo?" Sarah asked. "She's really sick so she is resting back at our house" daddy said. "Hope she feels better soon" Hayley said when the others nodded their heads as all of us started talking.

Suddenly, the civilians started to scream as they were running away. "This day can't get any worse" Brody said. "All of you better check it out and the two of us meet you guys back at the base" daddy said. "Ok, we see you back there" gramps said as he and the others were heading towards the location while me and daddy went back to the base.

Once gramps and the others came back to the base, they were talking about the fight. "That was a really tough fight" Sarah said. "It's like we can't even use our weapons to defeat him..." Calvin started to say. "But how can we defeat him without using our weapons?" Preston asked. "There is only one person that can help us" gramps said. 

"No way. She's really sick and resting in bed" daddy said. "Yeah, she's trying to get really better" I said. "All of us really need her help to defeat the monster if we don't" Hayley said. Me and daddy were sharing a concerned look but nodded our heads a little. "Ok. I will talk to her about it" daddy said, defeated as all of us were heading towards our house. After all of us arrived at our house...me, gramps and the other Rangers were heading to the backyard when daddy went to get her. 

Once daddy brought mommy out to the backyard, she looks like she needs more sleep. "You look really worse there Kanan" Brody said. "Thanks" mommy said, sarcastically as she coughed a little while rubbing her nose. "All of us really need your help..." Hayley started to say. "There's this monster and all of us can't even use our weapons" Sarah said. "Would you help us?" Levi asked. Then mommy looked at daddy as he nodded a little. "Ok but can all of you not shout really loud cause I have a really bad headache" she said. "Ok, we can do that, right guys" Calvin said as he looked at the others. "Yeah" the others said.

<TIME SKIP A LITTLE BIT MORE>

When the Rangers defeated the monster after mommy helped gramps and the others, gramps came back to our house as the three of us were eating dinner when the others went home for the day.

"How's Kanan?" gramps asked. "She's getting there...she's finally getting some rest again in bed" daddy said. "Yeah, it looks like she would be better in a couple of days" I said. "That's good to hear" gramps said. After the three of us finished eating, I went to play outside as gramps was watching me as daddy went to check on mommy before all of us went to bed.
