Luke was so hungover.
My mum had to go to work early that morning, so he crashed in my room for a while.
Luckily for me, he spent most of that time leaned over the toilet bowl in my bathroom.
I shrugged my shoulders as he fumbled with my remote for the TV.
I snatched the remote from his hands, flicking it on to a rerun of Anchorman. Luke situated himself under my blankets and I shoved a bottle of pain relievers into his face.
He thanked me lightly, but I knew he was still not going to feel well.
I grumbled as I pulled his phone from his pocket. He was much too slow to keep it away from me in time.
"What are you doing with my phone?" He whines with a grimace.
I roll my eyes dramatically. "Saving your sorry ass, now what's your pass code?"
"2278" he said easily.
I opened his contacts and scrolled down to his band mate, Calum, dialing the number immediately.
"Luke? What do you want?" Calum groaned in annoyance.
"Actually, this is Hannah, what are you doing right now?" I asked as politely as I could, even though his attitude wasn't exactly stellar.
"I'm driving up to the Macca's drive thru." He said simply.
"Brilliant! Grab something really really greasy for Luke would you?" I begged through the phone.
I looked over to my brother, who seemed confused with my request.
Calum chuckled, "he got hammered last night, didn't he?"
I confirmed this and Cal said that he would be over soon.
"Why did you ask Calum to buy me greasy food?" Luke seemed genuinely confused.
I shook my head, " for the amount of times you get drunk, you still don't know how to fix a hangover, do you?"
"I guess not." He responded, wincing at the pressure in his head from talking.
A knock sounded on my bedroom door, then, Calum stepped in, tossing a bag at Luke.
"Morning, Cal." I said cheerily.
"Good morning, Hannah." He said, still slightly tired. "How are you doing?"
I knew he meant physically, and there was no use in lying to him.
"I feel pretty shitty. I can't really do anything by myself, I can't even go down the stairs unless someone carries me, and even then, I could only walk to the couch." I gestured around my room.
He shakes his head, "you weren't this bad before, though. I don't get it. And that must be awful. "
One thing I loved about Cal was that, even though he was my brother's best friend, we could talk normally. He was like a fourth brother.
"I don't understand it, either. It just keeps getting worse and worse."
He nodded before walking back out my door.
Luke seemed to be doing better already, but his under eye bags were noticeably darker.
"Luke, why were you drinking so heavily?" I asked him soothingly.
"While you were napping, I came in here to give you your medication for when you woke up, on your phone there was a message from Ashton." He spoke with sad eyes.
