"You literally slept for ten hours and took a nap before this. HOW are you still sleepy!?" Anya whispered and yelled, standing in line with her sister and another woman.

"I just am, dude," Bekati muttered. "So much for telepathy."

"Were you practicing Telekinesis again?" Anya finally got the memo.

"Yeah," She lied for the 10th time on this trip, in all honesty. She'd feel like dropping if she didn't sit within the next ten minutes. There was no appetite today. On this food-filled day.

No one understood why Storm and Mateo insisted on getting married so early in the trip, but it was years pending, and she sounded super excited in January, telling Bekati about Brazil. Months later, you find out why.

A part of Bekati knew it was still due to her Christian upbringing of not being wed and having a child that pushed her to do this, but she didn't vocalize it. She tuned back into the ceremony with more people than she expected instead.
And man, was she glad she did. It was time for them to walk back down the aisle, so she followed Anya and began sprinkling the flowers when she did.

The colour scheme of the petals was spring and autumn. It was approaching spring when they left Pennsylvania, and now it's autumn in Brazil.

The relief that plastered itself on Bekati's face when they reached the end of the trail and could disperse to the car was evident.
She moved off faster than the other flower girls, but Abosk made sure to catch up to her.

"Hey, you good? I swore you spaced out a few times during the ceremony." Abosk lightly touched her shoulder, and she flinched slightly.

"What? Was it evident?" She was getting tired of the pulsing feeling she had from her bruise. She should've just left it alone before getting ready.
Abosk didn't seem to be in pain, though, so that was a relief for her.

"Not too much for anyone else. But yeah, to me... you look tired." Abosk pointed out, then touched her shoulder.

"I am. I don't know why." She slowly sucked in a breath. Maybe she shouldn't have purged. "Do you see where I put that Starbucks mocha bottle? I'll need it."

"Bek... have you had anything at all?" He crossed his arms, now at his vehicle.

"Yeah, I'm not trying to pass out at a wedding. Not at her wedding." She peered through the tinted glass and in the passenger seat for her purse.

"What are you two blabbing about?" A familiar voice called out.

"Oh, my Gods, you're here!" Abosk yelled when he saw his girlfriend.

Bekati turned around in time to see him lift her off the ground as he reached her.

She sighed and laid her head against the car. More people were gathering outside. The reception was going to be full. She knew it. For a second, she thought she saw Eva. Then brushed it off, thinking the autumn heat was getting to her. But she looked once more. She was right there hugging Storm and complimenting her. Bekati stared for another minute before Eva made her way over in a nice beige dress with florals, fitting the theme.

"Loca!!!" Eva skipped the next few steps to her. Her dress had a few layers of tule under to puff it, just like the bridesmaids' dresses.

Bekati extended her arms with a smile and wrapped her up in a hug. She breathed in the gentle floral scent and set some ease within her. From her angle, she watched as her wavy hair swayed a bit in the wind. She closed her eyes momentarily to feel the breeze. And for a moment, she pictured herself and Eva being married.

"You look beautiful." Eva took a step back and ran her eyes over Bekati's attire. "I mean, you always do. The florals just brighten you up."

Bekati chuckled and accepted her compliment. Finally, Abosk came to the car and unlocked it. She opened the door quickly and got her purse out. To her dismay, the mocha was no longer cold. She needed the energy, though, so she opened it with a sigh and went to get some cold water from the rear of the building.
