"Sometimes I feel so out of place being referred to as 'she'. Cause I look that way thanks to hair removal more than often, but down there isn't. And my voice is right in between." Sabrina kept her gaze on the glowing star ceiling.

"Oh, I thought you felt comfortable about it all." I studied her side facial profile. "Or do you feel dishonest to people with those party situations you told me about?"

"Those party situations I hate, I don't know why hookup culture is that way. Like, dude," She held up her left hand. "I'm engaged. And I think yeah. Like I'm lying."

I looked at my hand. Before she was to leave Brazil, she proposed to me in my room. But I kept it quiet and barely wore it because of the drama going on. I forgot about it for a while, actually. A couple of days ago, I started to wear the dainty ring. If anyone asked, I wouldn't hide the fact.

"You don't owe them an explanation, though. You feel comfortable because you have multiple female attributes as a female. That's great. No one else's business." I reached up for her hand.

She smiled slightly and held my hand - then sat up and patted her lap. I rolled my eyes playfully to mask my nerves.

"I was wondering, do you wanna tag along with me for some of the remaining summer? We could stop by somewhere with beach access -" She looked surprised when I put my finger on her lips.

"You had me in the  first half and fully bought me over with the last." I chuckled, then removed my finger before she could lick it. Creep. "I was gonna be indoors for the most part anyway. I would also do part-time work at the daycare a few weeks before school. I still might, you know, to bring my bank balance forward. Are you still good with us getting a hou-" It was her turn to shut me up.

"Yes, for the third time this month. Yes. And I already told you, I have the rest of it covered."

"But, you already bought the land. I wanna do fifty-fifty with the structure." I looked at her, and she looked at me with a raised brow. "You finished off the payment already, haven't you? Eva!"

I dramatically put my head on her shoulder, and she leaned us back. Now I was lying on top of her. A dramatic sigh didn't take long to come from me.

"Happy Early birthday," She chuckled. "Plus Anya already chipped in with her money."

A faint cry of a woman was heard, and /Sabrina and I listened. She's been making three in a row, and it's been decreasing in the minutes apart. A few hours ago, it was 40 minutes apart.

"Dude, Storm's a champ for doing that. OH! I got you something!!' She beamed.

I got off her and placed a hand on my stomach during the minute she took to look through her suitcase.

"Da da da daaah! A partial Tumbler!" She did a happy dance as she sat on the bed, showing it forward with eagerness. "Yes, I'm calling you dehydrated. You need better water intake, honey."

I couldn't stop the laugh, so I chuckled again when I read the words on it.

"Anything: happens. Me: 'It's a sign'" A clear crystal was at the bottom of the container.

"I love this." I then fiddled with my necklace. "And this. Thank you. I've missed you."

"Well, we'll be seeing each other a bit more in a matter of a week. You might get sick of me." Sabrina laughed, then shushed herself. "I feel insensitive laughing when she's going through labour next hall down. Let me stop."

"We should, yeah." I looked at the new tumbler again.

I didn't have one of these before. I'd have a thermos or a regular water bottle. This was new. It was appreciated.
