BONUS CHAPTER #5 (LAST ONE!) ✮ tyler and boone don't take any shit (TAKES PLACE AFTER THE MOVIE)

A FEW WEEKS HAS PASSED SINCE EVERYTHING THAT WENT DOWN.
the tornado wranglers took precautions when it came to lainey. they didn't want anything to happen to her after what happened with colin. boone made sure she was barely shown on camera, tyler stayed by her side wherever they went, and the rest of them made sure she didn't get blackout drunk and do stupid shit.
lainey and tyler were happy. they were the sappy love couple that everything rolled their eyes too. of course they all knew this was going to happen. they all made bets on lainey and tyler getting together. they were crazy together, during chases they turned into different people but after they were the sweet couple that everyone wanted to be around.
they sat at a bar around little rock, tylers arm wrapped around lainey's waist as they walked through the crowd. it was a busy night, football had started and this bar was the hotspot. lainey found their group sitting in the corner, kate waving and smiling at her. javi sat next to her, his arm wrapped around her shoulders.
javi and kate were complicated, but everyone knew something was going on with them. kate insisted it was nothing, but lainey saw right through her older sister. "lains!" lily exclaimed, standing up and hugging the girl.
"what's up t." boone stated, bro hugging his friend. "how's the couple?"
lainey smiled, "we are fine boone."
tyler smirked as he wrapped his arm back around the girl, pressing a kiss to her forehead. everyone rolled their eyes playfully as lainey sat down at the table. tyler went to the bar to get the group drinks, waving at some of his buddies. lainey wrapped his flannel around her body, looking around at the men. one of them was staring right at her, his mouth in a smirk. "so lainey, how was tylers parents house?" dani asked, "anything exciting?"
lainey shook her head, "nope. we had dinner and went chasing right after."
kate laughed, "you two are gonna get yourselves killed."
lainey shrugged before looking for tyler. he was still at the bar, talking with the bartender. she smiled at how happy he was as he watched the texas football game. even though he was from arkansas, texas was his favorite college team. she looked back at the man, who began to walk over to her. "hello." he stated making everyone look at him. "do you want a drink?"
lainey gave him a nervous smile, "i'm good. thanks."
"i insist."
boone immediately stood up, "she said no."
the man rolled his eyes, scoffing, "why can't i ask a pretty lady if she wants a drink? is that wrong?"
lainey looked at boone, her chest tightening. ever since colin, she hated being in public. she hated being in bars, she hated walking around, she hated every single part of it. she couldn't get his hands running along her body out of her mind. lainey immediately stood up, tears in her eyes as she grabbed kate's hand. "leave her alone." boone snapped as lainey and kate walked towards the bathroom.
"lainey, what's going on?" kate asked as they opened the door.
lainey looked at her with tears in her eyes making kate immediately wrap her hands around her sister. lainey hated talking about her feelings, especially about this. she was supposed to be strong. "i'm sorry." lainey mumbled in kates hair as they hugged.
"it's okay." kate replied, "do you want to leave?"
"no."
the two girls headed back outside after lainey calmed down. tyler stood at the table, his eyes searching for his girlfriend. the man was gone, which made lainey take a breath. "lains, what's up?" tyler asked immediately, his eyes searching her face with concern. "what happened?"
lainey shook her head, "i'm okay."
suddenly the lights went off as the wind blew outside. lainey immediately looked around with fear as a tornado siren went off. the tornado wranglers immediately ran outside to see a tornado in the distance, "shit." lainey whispered looking at tyler, who grabbed her hand. "what are we gonna do?!"
the wind began to blow harder as kate grabbed javi's truck keys. the wranglers began to get to their cars when someone grabbed lainey's hand. she turned around to see the guy from earlier standing there. lainey stared at him, the wind blowing in her face. "don't touch me!" she exclaimed.
tyler and boone turned around, their eyes filled with anger. tyler immediately walked over to the two, shoving the man on the ground. "learn some manners." he snapped as the man stood up, swinging for tyler. tyler dodged it as boone punched the man across the face.
lainey shut her eyes, "guys! lets go!"
the three men began to fight, making lainey turn around. she grabbed tyler's car keys and headed to his truck. she turned on the truck and immediately blared the horn. all three men looked over at her as she stuck her head out of the window, "lets fucking go! there's a goddamn tornado!"
tyler shoved the man on the ground one last time before getting in the passenger seat of his truck. boone got in the back, his face filled with anger. "you two need to control your emotions." lainey stated as she put the truck in drive. the man stood up, flipping the truck off which made lainey stick her finger right back up at him. "where are we going?"
"guys do we have the mixture ready?" kate asked in the coms.
tyler looked at lainey as she drove down the road, her eyes filled with no emotion. "yes ma'am." tyler replied, "lains are you sure you want to do this?"
lainey smirked at him, "of course i do."
"oh god."
lainey pressed on the gas, the truck speeding to 100. she drove towards the tornado, knowing she had to get in its path to drop the trailer off. boone pulled out his camera and began talking to it. lainey reached over and grabbed tyler's hand, "i love you." she mouthed.
he smiled at her, "i love you too."
