EIGHT ✮ returning home

SILENCE FILLED THE ROOM.
the lights weren't on. the window curtains were shut. there was no light in the room. the fan was the only thing that they could hear. lainey carter was fast asleep, drool running down her face from her mouth. tyler owens had his arms wrapped around the girl, his head rested next to hers. he was wide awake, to afraid to move and wake up the girl. tyler didn't get much sleep, he kept thinking about what lainey said-
she was in love with him.
tyler didn't know if she was just saying it because she was drunk, or she actually meant it. his heart raced every time he thought of her being his. they already acted like a couple, tyler just waited for her to actually want to be with him. he took a breath as lainey twisted around in her sleep, resting her head on his chest.
"are you awake?" lainey whispered a few minutes later.
"yes ma'am." tyler whispered back, making lainey sit up, looking at him. "how did you sleep?" he asked as lainey looked at the bed. she swallowed back tears as she stood up, walking towards the bathroom, "lains."
"give me a minute."
she shut the door, pulling back her hair. she sat down next to the toilet and immediately began puking. the minute tyler heard her, he jumped out of the bed and ran into the bathroom. he grabbed her hair as she puked, rubbing her back also. "it's okay." tyler whispered, "you're okay."
her head throbbed, and she didn't know it was from the injury or the hang over. "i want to die." she whined, wiping her mouth with toilet paper, "do you have medicine?"
"i do."
"can i have some?"
tyler nodded, helping her stand and flush the toilet. lainey walked back out to the main room and sat down on her bed, "are you okay?" tyler asked, popping open some pills from is backpack. lainey nodded, making tyler look at the ground, "do you remember anything from last night?"
lainey looked at him, "don't tell me i threw up all over you."
tyler laughed, "no..."
lainey shrugged, "i don't remember anything from last night. is that bad?"
tyler's heart stung, but he put on a fake smile, "possibly-"
lainey shot up, "what did i say?"
tyler walked over to her, putting his hands on her shoulders, "you may have told me kate was your sister." lainey made a face before face palming, "but its okay, i'm not mad you didn't tell me."
