THE TORNDO WRANGLERS HEADED STRAIGHT FOR TOWN. lainey unbuckled her seatbelt, leaning on the center console to look at the town ahead of them. kate ordered the team to help people get into basements and shelters, but lainey just stared in complete fear. everyone was out today. they were having a festival. girls were playing softball. there was no way they could save everyone.
"holy shit." lainey whispered, making tyler look at her. his eyes were full of determination, while lainey's were full of fear. she wanted to help the people, he knew that. they were both scared however, they were scared this was the last time they would be chasing together. they were scared one wouldn't come out of this.
tyler passed storm par, making lainey look over at javi, who was staring at kate. they ended up in town, lainey jumping out of the truck.people were running everywhere, making lainey look around in complete fear. kate grabbed her hand and pulled her over by tyler, the three looking at the tornado in the distance. suddenly a tent came flying towards their heads, causing tyler to grab lainey and pull her down.
lainey stood back up and turned around. she needed to save these people. she ran towards the crowds, "find shelter!" she screamed. she suddenly realized there were way to many people out on the streets. "holy shit."
"we gotta get everyone to the movie theater!" dexter screamed at lainey and she slowly nodded, falling in a panic. tyler quickly grabbed lainey's hand, pulling her and making her snap out of the trance.
"leave it!" lainey and tyler both screamed at a man who was trying to save his items. "leave it!"
lainey reached up for her necklace and stood in complete fear when she looked up. colin was standing there, the wind blowing in his face. "no." lainey whispered, turning and looking for tyler. he was gone. "goddamnit."
the wind blew her hair in her face, but she gave colin a dirty look. she turned around to a yell of pain, making her look straight at tyler. "tyler!" she screamed, running towards him. tyler had his leg stuck underneath a car. she tried to pick it up, yelling in pain and fear. "fuck! fuck!" suddenly a tv satelite went flying into the side of the water tower. the side began to fall towards the two, making tyler look at her, "i'm not leaving you here!"
"lainey! go!" tyler yelled at her.
"i'm not letting you die!" she screamed, trying to lift up on the metal. "i can't leave you!"
the watertower began to fall, "lainey! go inside!"
lainey shook her head, tears flooding her eyes. suddenly someone placed a metal pole underneath it, helping to lift the metal off of tyler. kate and javi stood there, making lainey nod and help push it off of him. tyler grabbed onto lainey as the watertower fell, causing water to push them down the street.
lainey felt tyler let go of her as she swam with the water. she felt something cut her ankle, causing her to yell in pain. "lainey!" kate screamed as they stood up. lainey gritted her teeth and stood up, yelling in pain as she looked down at her ankle. it was sliced open. kate ran over to her sister as javi grabbed tyler. she wrapped her hand around lainey's shoulders and the two ran into the theater.
lainey got in the theater and just stared. this place could not hold them. parts of the ceiling began to fall and people screamed in fear. lainey wiped the tear from her cheek and limped down the isle to find a basement. she found kate and tyler, who were staring outside at the tornado that was coming straight towards them. "there's no basement on the other side!" javi screamed, running up to them.
everyone began to scream at each other, causing lainey to just stare at the tornado. they were all about to die. people screamed as the roof collasped, causing tyler and javi run out back to the main room. lainey looked at kate, "kate, dont do it!" she screamed, knowing what kate was about to do.
"i have to!"
lainey looked at her sister with wide eyes, "then im coming with you!"
kate stared at her sister, but she didn't argue as lainey began to limp run towards the truck. she got in the passenger side, looking back at where tyler was at. "i'm sorry." she whispered before buckling her seatbelt. kate did the same looking at her sister, "lets do this."
kate started the truck.
