CHAPTER 13: WE

SORCHA'S POV

I'm not really the kind of person who gets easily envious, but that's what I'm feeling right now while looking at the house in front of me.

It looks like a log house, but it's huge. One wouldn't think that only one person lives inside. The house is not gated except for a front yard log fence that is more for the aesthetic than security purposes, but it's only because the whole luxury estate is already equipped with high-end security. I know because the developer is Dagger's client.

It's surrounded by the natural landscape of the sanctuary-mountain resort of the exclusive residential area, and it has a spectacular view of Tagaytay, but that's not the reason why I envy Daze for having it. It only has a lawn and nothing else.

I love my garden, but sometimes I wish that I had more space. I have a lot of plants, so the section for herbs and vegetables is not that big. But the space in front of me is like a gardening enthusiast heaven.

I shrugged off my envy and I walked toward the front door. I repeated it again and again, but still, nothing.

Did he disabled it?

"Who the fuck—"

The serenity of the place shattered more at the sound of Daze's shout when my foot, which I was using to kick the door hard, landed on his shin.

"What...What are you doing here?" I already caught a glimpse so it's useless. "I'm not exactly prepared to accept visitors right now, Red."

"I don't have time to wait for you to curl your hair and do your makeup, Lady Henderson," sarkastikong sabi ko. I tipped my chin. "Let me in."

"I really don't think this is a good time—"

"I should be at work, but I am here. No time is a good time for me to be away for work, Henderson. So stop wasting my time and let me in."

Everyone's probably babying his feelings right now. I understand why, but this is not the right moment to dwindle our thumbs.
