[T]he car glided smoothly through the evening, the quiet hum of the engine and the soft murmur of the city beyond lulling you into a gentle sleep.
As your head rested against the cool glass, the day's adventures played out like a dream—vibrant scenes of bustling streets, dazzling lights, and Gojo's ever-present laughter.
But just as you were about to slip into a deeper slumber, Gojo's voice cut through the haze, teasing and full of anticipation. "Almost there, sleepyhead," he murmured, his tone promising something just beyond the horizon of your drowsy thoughts.
The car rolled to a stop, and you felt a gentle nudge as Gojo's hand brushed your shoulder.
Blinking awake, you noticed the familiar sight of Jujutsu High, though tonight it seemed different. The campus was bathed in a serene twilight glow, the usual hustle replaced by an almost magical stillness.
"Come on," Gojo urged, his energy renewed as he helped you out of the car.
He seemed more alive than ever, a sparkle in his eyes as he took your hand and led you away from the main path.
Intrigued, you followed him along the winding paths of the campus, each step chasing away the remnants of your fatigue. The night air was crisp and refreshing, rejuvenating your senses.
This part of the campus was unfamiliar, hidden away from the usual spots you frequented."Where are we going?" you finally asked, your voice barely above a whisper, the night's tranquility making you hesitant to speak louder.
Gojo glanced back at you, a grin playing on his lips. "Patience. You'll see soon enough. Trust me, you're going to love this."
He led you to a secluded garden area on the edge of the campus. The space was adorned with fairy lights strung between the trees, casting an almost magical ambiance over the neatly arranged picnic setup.
There was a cozy blanket spread out, and an array of delicious-looking dishes and treats were laid out—everything from sushi and tempura to pastries and your favorite drink.
You gasped, your eyes widening in astonishment. "W-wow, what's that?"
"Thought you might like a quiet end to an amazing day," he said, his voice softening as he gestured for you to sit. "A little picnic under the stars, just for us."
You settled onto the blanket, a wave of contentment washing over you as you took in the cozy setup. Gojo joined you, and together, you indulged in the spread of delicious food he had thoughtfully arranged. Between bites, you shared stories, laughter filling the quiet night as the campus felt worlds away.
"How did you manage to pull all of this off?" you asked, once dinner was over.
Gojo flashed you a mischievous grin. "I have my ways. Ijichi might've helped out a little."
"You really turned him into your personal slave, didn't you?"
He laughed, waving off the accusation. "Hey, he volunteered! Besides, he's getting pretty good at this stuff."
"So that's why Nitta-san was our driver today," you mused, piecing it together.
"Sharp as always. I'd expect nothing less from you."
A comfortable silence settled between you as the stars twinkled above.
Breaking the stillness, Gojo reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, beautifully wrapped box. "Alright, one last surprise," he said with a playful glint in his eyes as he handed it to you. "I promise this will be the perfect way to end the day."
Curiosity piqued, you carefully unwrapped the gift to reveal a delicate charm bracelet. Each charm captured a different memory from your day together—a tiny replica of the Kaminarimon gate, a miniature taiyaki, and even a charm inspired by the TeamLab Borderless museum.
Your heart swelled with emotion. "It's beautiful," you murmured, deeply touched by the thoughtful gesture.
"I thought it'd be a nice way to remember our first date," Gojo said, his voice soft as he lay back on the blanket, his gaze shifting to the stars above.
You followed his lead, settling down beside him, the serene atmosphere wrapping around you both. This moment, under the vast, starry sky, felt like the happiest you'd ever been.
"Thank you," you whispered.
"For what?" he asked, glancing at you with mild curiosity.
"For everything," you replied, your voice thoughtful as your eyes traced the constellations. After a pause, you turned to face him. "It seems like I'm always on the receiving end of your kindness and generosity."
Gojo arched an eyebrow, a playful smirk tugging at his lips. "Kind? Me? Oh, sweetheart, you have no idea what's going through my head right now.""Oh?" you blinked, slightly caught off guard, but he just chuckled, shaking his head as if to silently tell you not to dig any deeper.
Knowing him, the perfect end to this date probably involved a much more mischievous plan—something far less innocent.
But seeing the exhaustion in your eyes, he decided to let you have this peaceful moment tonight. You'd had your adventure, and now, it was time to rest.
"I do have one more wish, though," you murmured, your voice laced with a hint of mischief.
"Oh? Someone's feeling greedy tonight," Gojo teased, a smirk playing on his lips. "What's on your mind, Y/N?"
Ignoring his playful jab, you met his gaze, your eyes locking onto his with an intensity that made his teasing falter. The subtle hitch in your breath caught his attention just before you leaned in, pressing a soft, innocent kiss to his lips. It was a gentle touch, barely more than a brush, but the electric thrill of it left you breathless as you pulled back.
Before you could fully recover, Gojo's demeanor shifted. He rolled over, smoothly straddling your waist, his crystal-blue eyes darkening with intent. His gaze was intense, almost predatory, as he leaned down, his lips descending to claim yours in a kiss that was anything but gentle.
"I was planning to let you off easy tonight," he whispered against your lips, his tone playful yet edged with something darker. "But you were waiting for this, weren't you?" His breath was hot against your skin as he nibbled on your ear, sending a shiver down your spine. "Y/N, you cheeky little thing. You're practically asking to be devoured."
