Somehow, despite their previous actions, the Romani didn't seem to bear the prince any ill will. This was rather clear when the leader, who introduced himself as Hitoshi Shinso, invited Katsuki and Izuku back to their camp for what was supposed to be a quick meal.
It wasn't quick, and the sky had darkened a while ago.
Izuku felt a tiny bit of anxiety, knowing if the Baron found out he wasn't back yet, he'd be in for a punishment. He had no good excuse as to why he was out this late and even if he did, the Baron wouldn't care.
However, the longer he sat here, next to Katsuki in front of a large fire the Romani had lit, all his worries seemed to melt away.
"Your turn," Izuku said, taking a sip of his drink, "and it better be good."
The greenette wasn't exactly sure how he and Katsuki ended up here, sharing their deepest darkest secrets. All he knew was that the closer he got to Katsuki, the harder it was to keep his identity a secret.
"I have no desire to be king," Katsuki looked down at his hands, as if ashamed to be admitting such a thing.
Izuku's brows furrowed in confusion, "but think of all the wonderful things you could do; for your country, for the world."
"Yes, but to be so defined by your position," the blonde spat, though his frustration was not directed at Izuku, "to never be seen as who you are, but what you are. You have no idea how insufferable that is."
"You might be surprised," Izuku frowned, turning to look at the fire.
"Really?" Katsuki questioned, raising an eyebrow.
Noticing that he'd made a mistake, Izuku quickly elaborated, "A Romani, for example, is rarely painted as anything else. They are defined by their status as your title defines you, yet it is not who they are."
"You are born to privilege," he continued, "and with that comes specific obligations."
Katsuki's frustration melted away listening to the green haired man speak, replaced with an amused smile, "you sound like my mother."
Izuku chuckled, "I'm sorry. My mouth has run away with me again."
"No, my Lord," Katsuki assured, glancing down at Izuku's lips briefly before returning his gaze to the others eyes, "it is your mouth, that has my hypnotized."
The two felt themselves instinctively move closer together as they gazed into each other's eyes.
The kiss was soft and over far too quickly for either of their likings. But it was soon followed by another, still slow but a bit more passionate.
Izuku let himself get lost in the moment, feeling as though it was only him and Katsuki in the world, and no one else mattered.
Suddenly reality came crashing back and Izuku was very aware of the cheering of the Romani, who had also witnessed the kiss.
Izuku and Katsuki pulled away, and glanced around before grins spread across their faces and they were laughing along with the others.

"Right here, please," Izuku decided, retracting his arms from around Katsuki's waist, "I don't want to wake anybody up."
Katsuki slid off the horse, and Izuku lifted his leg over the horse. Katsuki's hands slid across Izuku's waist, carefully picking him up, though even when Izuku's feet were both safely touching the ground, his hands never moved from their places.
"Thank you for the wonderful time, your Highness," Izuku whispered, thankful that it was dark so the prince couldn't see the blush spreading across his face.
"Katsuki," the blond corrected.
"Katsuki."
Their lips connected once more and Izuku felt a feeling that was very rare in his life, pure satisfaction. He could stay like this, with Katsuki, forever.
This sudden revelation made Izuku tense up, unprepared to admit it to himself this soon.
He pulled away, and gave Katsuki a small smile before turning away.
"Deku," Katsuki said, just loud enough for Izuku to hear him, "do you know the ruins at Amboise?"
Izuku faced him, nodding, "yes."
"I often go there, to be alone," Katsuki admitted, before asking, "would you meet me there tomorrow?"
Izuku knew this couldn't last, at least not as long as he kept up this lie. But for some reason, Izuku hated the idea of this ending. He knew, deep down, if he had a choice, he wouldn't change a thing. He'd do the same thing over and over again, as long as he got to be with the prince.
"I shall try," Izuku replied softly.
"Then I shall wait all day," Katsuki promised.

Writing scenes that involve physical affection makes me cringe and I don't know why...
Don't get me wrong, I love physical affection, but writing it just feels weird...
BUT I push through it because I love writing romance books, which is contradicting but it is what it is...
