>>>>Well That Was Unexpected<<<<<<

We sat down in our bus seats, overwhelmed by the loud bus noises. I noticed there were two new boys sitting behind our seat, a blonde staring at the bus graveyard and a brown haired boy trying to get him to settle.

I attempted to observe without being noticed, but mistakes were made and eye contact was also made. We both sat down silently, and I was met with the blonde's face up close in mine. "Hi!"

"GAH!" I flinched in startled confusion.

"Is that your house? What's with the whole 'Bus Graveyard' thing?"

"It's just a junkyard with old buses." He looked slightly saddened. "Yeah? That's it? Well, that's disappointing. I was hoping for some kind of lore or paranormal jazz."

I nodded quietly, but he must have heard me anyway, as he offered a gentle smile and slumped back in his seat. It would have been fascinating if the buses were actually haunted. I've always been intrigued by that kind of thing.

I went to reach for my phone hoping for the conversation to be over.

Please be over...

A shiver ran up my spine when the boy started the conversation up again. "Anyway, I'm Aiden! And that's my cousin Ben. We just moved here a week or so ago from Virginia. Can't remember what town it was though. Oh hey, we live just a few houses down from you! Since we live so close, we should all hang out often."

"Sorry, nothing personal but, I'm a bit tired and not in much of a conversation mood." I put my hand out in a stop motion.

Aiden paused for a moment, then gave a smirk. "...It's fine, I get it. You're just shy, right? It's alright, I'm good at talking, so I'll be fine."

After a short ride of Aiden's yapping to school they follow me inside. We walked inside and Aiden looked around in wonder. "Woah, this is a small school.

"We were still walking when Ben tugged Aiden back an pointed to the office. "Oh, right. We gotta pick our schedules- up?"

I immediately took that chance to run for it and make it to class. But as i was on the way to class a shoe nearly took my head off as it slammed into the wall. I swear i would've fainted right there and then. I hear a voice in a crowd of people in the middle of the hall. "Ah, sorry! We were just goofing off haha."

I quickly grew annoyed, realizing there was no other way across the hall. When we finally reached room 201, we found a nervous boy standing there. He had dirty blonde hair and wore glasses. As he fumbled with his papers, dropping one, I picked it up and handed it back to him. His cheeks were tinged with a soft blush.

The teacher was late, and there were many students still out. I laid my head in my hands, bored out of my mind.

After a few moments, the sound of yelling echoed from outside the door, catching my attention and pulling my focus toward the commotion.

"We wouldn't be late if you had helped instead of recording! "Sorry we're late! Please don't mark us tardy!"

"They aren't here yet."
"We still have a chance!" The duo loudly made their presence known, darker skin, brown hair, and brown eyes. Twins.

Suddenly, the teacher showed up behind them putting their on the twins shoulders.

"A chance? Are two of my students already late on the first day of school?" He stood there with an intimidating presence, causing the twins to break into nervous sweat right away.

"Just kidding! A class rule is if we're both late and you get here before me, you're safe- where's your shoe? You should find that after class."
"Yes sir."

"Go ahead and find which desk has your name on it and take a seat." Trailing behind the teacher were two more students, whom I quickly identified as Ben and Aiden. I slightly slouch in my chair more.

The only two empty seats were next to me . Aiden locked eyes with me and smiled. I groaned softly.

This class had already started bad.
