-AIDEN'S POV-

Tyler flinched at the sudden appearance of the phantom but quickly regained his composure. Perched on top of Ben's shoulders, I scanned the ceiling for any movement.
A mix of determination and fear coursed through me as I kept a close watch on the shadows. Occasionally, I glanced down at Ashlyn, noticing the awkward tension between Tyler and her.

I couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy in my chest, but I quickly pushed those feelings aside because why do I even feel jealous? But anyway-

As we finally made it to the last floor, halfwit spoke.
"Oh, you gotta be kidding me."

There, we saw tons of phantoms filling the room. We moved securely and tightly, flashing lights in all directions. We soon made out to the front porch when logan hopped on the walkie talkie
"Guys, there are phantoms on the roof, be careful!"

Once we made it to the car, Taylor got in the driver's seat since Ash was in no condition to drive. Once we were all in, phantoms crashed their clampy, gooey hands through the windows.

At the sound of another gunshot, I realized that there was a phantom on top of the jeep. Everyone rushed into the vehicle, and phantom black gooey hands smashed through the windows.
Luckily, Taylor was able to shake them off as she started driving.

With that Taylor swerved the jeep in all sorts of direction to swing the phantoms off. Everyone was holding on for dear life.

I would be worried for Taylor when she tries to get her drivers license, but I try to focus at the task at hand.
