>>>><Twists and Treats><<<<

"What happened to you guys?" My father analyzed us each, a mild concerned undertone to his voice. The ride home was pretty silent. Even Aiden. We made it back to the graveyard, sitting in our selected bus. The twins sat in the same seat. Ben sat alone across from Aiden who was sitting on top of the seat. I was sitting on the cooler, and Logan sat inside the tires

Tyler spoke his thoughts after minutes of pure silence. "So... you think the phantom dimension is influencing us?"
"Not only that but... I think we're also impacting the real world as well." Everyone was silent, Taylor then spoke up, reading everyone's thoughts. "...What do we do?" I retook the lead, that mind of mine already with a plan. "I think things started to get out of control after Logan got upset..."

"...Maybe negative emotions can set that kind of reaction off?"
"So we should avoid getting too angry?"
"That's a good place to start." Everyone continued their conversation. "How are we going to do that when our entire situation is negative?"
"...I also don't think we can afford to be as careful as we have been. I was hoping we could take our time and figure things out as safely as possible but... we don't know how the dimension's influence over us will progress or how quickly. Alongside the possibility of us damaging the real world because of that influence."

~LATER AT THE BARBEQUE~

I held the plates in my hand as my mom got the cooler ready.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door and my dad went to go get it.
There stood Aiden and his parents, along with ben and his as well. His younger cousin was also with them- oh my god. She is so adorable.
"Hey Mike! We brought mac and cheese."

"Awesome! Come inside and you can just place it on the table. So you guys must be Ben's parents, Naomi and William, right?"
"Yes, it's nice to finally meet you haha."
"And you must be the Lily, the birthday girl!"
She balanced on Ben's hip as he picked her up, "Yeah! That's me!"

There was another knock heard on the door, and from my spot next to Aiden, I could see it was Logan and his grandparents.
I went to go get the bucket of candy over for Lily, scolding Aiden and smacking his hand away when he went to grab a piece. "You don't need any candy."

It's true though... He already hyper enough as it is.

My mom opens the door and lets Logan and his grandparents in.

A few moments had passed, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves—everyone except the twins, who had yet to arrive. My parents were whispering to each other before they called out to me, "Ashlyn, do you think you can wait here for the twins and bring them to the graveyard when they arrive?"

"Yeah," I replied as I moved to sit on the couch.

It had been a while... Maybe I should send them a message, I thought to myself. Now that I consider it, my parents have never met the twins' parents before; they always appeared a bit evasive on the subject.

I knew I shouldn't interfere, but I found myself saying, "Is there something going on?" without realizing it.

Just then, I heard a knock at the door. I opened it to find a woman with brown hair who seemed to be in her late forties.

"Who are you?" I asked.
