Aiden glanced over at me, noticing the direction of my gaze, but he didn't say anything. He was still trying to regain his composure, his cheeks gradually returning to their normal color. He took a deep breath, like as if he was trying to calm himself down.

Meanwhile, the rest of the group continued to chat amongst themselves, oblivious to the momentary tension between Aiden and me.

As the rest of the group continued talking, Tyler and Logan cast subtle glances in my direction, silently observing the dynamic between Aiden and me. They could tell there was something brewing beneath the surface, even if they didn't know exactly what it was.

Aiden remained quiet, his gaze occasionally flickering towards me before quickly averting his eyes. The tension in the air was almost palpable, but neither of us seemed ready to address it just yet.

"Ah- wait!! Guys, the phantoms are running in your direction! From what I can see, there are about 20 of them!" Logan said on the walkie-talkie, breaking the silence
"Lovely. We need to leave immediately!"Taylor supported me in the corner as she started to dish out orders. "Here Ben, hand me the keys please. Ty, you should carry Ashlyn, and Ben, you should carry Aiden. And since Ashlyn isn't in the condition to drive anymore, I will-"

She was then interrupted by a loud crash sound that came from downstairs.

"That came from downstairs.." I say as I glanced down at the door
"Must've been the phantoms that spotted me on the street earlier." Tyler said while adjusting me on his back
"And there's about to be a lot more.." Aiden added as he looked at the window, now noticing the number of phantoms

After noticing  the number of phantoms heading toward the house and decided to finally leave. We heard a crash coming from downstairs.

Ugh. The phantoms must have gotten through the windows in the living room.

We opened the door, ready to walk out, but as soon as we opened it, a phantom appeared out of nowhere. I could feel myself almost slipping off Tyler's back.

"GAAH-" Me and Tyler scream as the phantom lunges its claws at us.

Thankfully, Tyler's headlight was quick to shine the light on it, leaving it screaming in pain.
My poor, poor ears...

Everyone pulled out their lights, trying to get through the house, when Aiden opens his dumb mouth. "...well, this is intense." I roll my eyes, glaring at him. Well no dip Sherlock. We're surrounded by phantoms. I tell him in my mind cause my head hurts to much for me to open my mouth.

But I try my best to speak up, my voice a little shaky. "O-okay... let's just stay in a circle while slowly walking towards the Jeep. Me and Aiden will keep watch of the ceiling, and you guys cover all other angles."

We had a message come in from Logan once again.
"Guys, there are phantoms on the roof, be careful!"

"Oh, you gotta be kidding me."

There, we saw tons of phantoms filling the room. We moved securely and tightly, flashing lights in all directions. We had finally made it out the door when we heard logan on the walkie talkie-"Guys, there are phantoms on the roof, be careful!"
