Logan slams Barron's face down hard on the ground.
"Okay, we should—" Before I could finish, Ben was already racing around the corner.
"Ben, wait!" Taylor called, but he didn't stop.
In a swift motion, Ben crashed the face of the man who had Logan in a chokehold against the concrete.
It was total chaos as everyone began to fight. I was caught up with this one kid who was almost twice my size; he had just punched Tyler. I kicked him, but it barely fazed him; he quickly regained his footing. I pivoted on my other foot and struck him down with a precise kick to the side of his face, but in the process, my headphones flew off, and I felt pain like never before.
I dropped to the ground, covering my ears. Ugh! It's way too loud! The noise was unbearable, making it difficult to think.
"Ashlyn!" I heard someone call my name; it sounded like Aiden.
IT'S TOO LOUD.
"Calm down!" I managed to shout.
The other kids quickly scattered in every direction, leaving us standing there, frozen in place as the chaos faded around us. It felt surreal, like we were the last ones left in a whirlwind of uncertainty, unsure of what to do next.
"What just happened? I'm not usually this... violent." Taylor sounded pretty worried; I knew we all felt the same way.
"Well, they attacked us first. Maybe we overreacted, but honestly, they kind of deserved it," Tyler I got up from the ground, my headphones scattered a few feet from me. "But that isn't the real problem. Taylor's right; this could be bad."
"What are you talking about?"
"You guys were making the same sounds as the phantoms." I could feel the atmosphere tense at that moment.
Something is going on.
Something bad.

I've started a TBHK book- but I don't have any motivation to finish it...
Bc once I'm done with this book or at least until I start posting again, I wanna have smth that I can go work on as I wait for Red to publish the next couple episodes of the webtoon (which y'all should totally catch up on if you haven't already!!)
But that was all I wanted.
