Chloe's POV
Back in my house in Auradon, Red and I are huddled around the table, reviewing our plan. The room is filled with the hum of anxious energy. We've already donned the metal bracelets with runes, their cool weight on our wrists a constant reminder of what's at stake. The liquid that will activate them still stowed safely in my pocket. Now, it's time to finalize our approach.
Red spreads out the map of the Black Lagoon on the table. The dim light of the lamp casts a soft glow over her determined face.- We need to be at the Black Lagoon by 6:30 PM. - Red says, her voice steady. - That way, we'll have a solid half hour to get a good look at the area before Uliana and Maleficent start their ritual.
- Okay. Arriving early gives us the advantage of scouting the area and preparing ourselves. - I nod, my mind racing through the details. - What's our first move once we're there?
- I'll use a cloaking spell to keep us hidden. - Red taps the map, her finger tracing a route. - We don't want to draw any unnecessary attention. You'll take the lead in ensuring we stay out of sight.
I take a deep breath, mentally preparing myself.
- I'm ready for that. I'll keep us hidden and make sure we avoid any detection. But what about when we get closer to the ritual site?
- We know Uliana is planning her scheme there, so we don't need to waste time searching for her. - Red picks up the artifact, examining it thoughtfully.
- I'll scout the perimeter for any traps or evil allies. - I glance at the map, studying the layout of the lagoon. - We need to be aware of all potential threats around us.
- About Maleficent... - Red's expression shifts to concern. - She's incredibly powerful. I know you're capable, but I want to make sure you're prepared. You won't be facing her alone. I'll be using my magic to assist you.
- Thanks, Red. - I appreciate her reassurance. - I'll do my best to keep Maleficent occupied, but I know I'll need your magic to stand a chance against her.
- I'll focus on Uliana. My plan is to use my magic to disrupt her spells and prevent her from using that Pocket watch succesfully. - Red nods, her eyes filled with determination. - I'll need you to stay agile and keep Maleficent at bay while I handle Uliana.
I take a deep breath, feeling a surge of confidence.
- Alright. We'll coordinate our efforts. I'll make sure to use my sword skills effectively and keep moving to avoid Maleficent's attacks.
Red's eyes soften as she walks over to me, placing a comforting hand on my shoulder.
- We're in this together. The bracelets will protect us if anything goes wrong. I'll use my magic to neutralize Uliana's attacks, and you focus on staying agile and fighting Maleficent.
We review the plan one last time, ensuring we're both clear on our roles. The gravity of our mission weighs heavily, but the strength of our partnership gives me hope. We've covered every angle and prepared for every possible complication.
As we prepare to leave for the Black Lagoon, the reality of the situation sinks in. But with our plan in place and the reassurance of each other's support, I feel a renewed sense of readiness. We're about to confront a serious threat, but knowing Red is by my side makes me feel like we can handle whatever comes our way.
- Let's do this. - I say, a determined edge to my voice. - We've got this.
- Yeah, let's do this shit. - Red smiles, a mixture of reassurance and resolve.
- Language, bae. - I say frowning. - Don't forget you kiss me with that mouth.
We gather our gear, the plan clear in our minds and our resolve firm. Together, we head out, ready to face the challenges awaiting us at the Black Lagoon.
