Together At Last

Chapter 25

X walked out of the mall, practically dragging his bags towards his car.

He'd bought a lot more than he'd previously anticipated.

X hoisted his bags into his trunk with a grunt, sighing in relief once they were all packed up. He closed the trunk, hopping into the driver's seat.

He was about to close the door when he heard a voice next to him.

"What'd ya buy?"

X yelped, almost falling out the doorway of his car when he saw it was Two. X hissed, giving him a half-hearted glare as he swung the door shut.

"Two, you startled me! What are you doing here anyway?" X questioned. Two tapped on the blue charm hanging from X's neck with a pointed, green claw.

"Well, I can always figure out your location with this on. The magic on it is pretty detectable." Two chirped cheerily. X raised an eyebrow.

"Magic? I mean, Four gave it to me, so I guess it makes sense." X responds curiously. Two made a face.

"My brother gave it to you? Oh righttt- that's the thing he tossed you!" Two realized. "Hate to break it to you X, but that's more than just a gift."

"Are you sure? It seems pretty normal to me." X responds. Two chuckles, shaking his head.

"It's anything but normal. There's obviously a spell on it." Two insisted, squinting at the necklace. He delicately cupped the charm in his palm, closing his eyes with focus. X gave him a confused look.

"There's a locator spell on it...aaand a spell of night terrors? Or something to do with sleep? I think?" Two murmured. "That seems about-OW!" Two sharply pulled his hand away, eyes shooting open, and X panicked. Two sat stunned for a moment before grinning.

"Well I never. Looks like my brother is the jealous type." Two smirked, and X sighed.

"He's what? And- what spells? Did you say night terrors?" X questioned. Two held up a hand, signaling him to stop for a moment. Two snapped, and suddenly they were standing in front of X's apartment.

"Ah, I forgot the car. Silly me!" Two exclaimed. The deity snapped a couple more times, and then the car finally popped up next to them, rocking a bit from the impact.

X opens the trunk with his car keys, grabbing some of the bags. Just as he was about to haul the rest, Two snapped, teleporting all the bags inside his apartment.

"Whoops!" Two gave X a mischievous grin. X rolled his eyes with a smile in response.

He sure did have the craziest friends, didn't he.

Hours of work and forcing Two to stop trying to peak later, X was done.

It was a decent sized green tent in the very corner of his room, lit up with LED lights. The inside was filled with various green beanbags, pillows, and blankets. X smiled proudly at his work.

"X, when can I come insideeee." Two whined from outside of his room. X had, luckily, remembered that sand, salt, and candle wax kept demons out, so he had set up a barrier in front of his locked door, which had been bugging the green deity.

"Just a second! I need to get rid of the barrier." X quickly shoved the small makeshift barrier of powder and wax into a separate corner of his room, allowing Two to enter.

Two teleported inside, eyes immediately landing on the tent. The deity's jaw dropped.

"X, is that-" X nodded in response to Two's question.

"I felt bad for keeping you on the couch, so I made you your own little beanbag tent corner!" X chirped. Two embraced X in a quick hug before hurrying into the tent, curling up amidst the pillows and blankets and falling asleep in mere seconds.

X smiled at the sight, feeling proud of himself. He stared a moment longer when a yawn from himself reminded him that he should sleep too.

X sighed, crawling into bed and laying there as sleep gradually came to him.

Yoo!! Been a LONG while, but I am currently not sleep deprived :D

(I'm starting on the squeal and omg- that fanfiction messed me up so bad. I could FEEL the characters through the screen! )
