X left his office the next day, feeling excited for once. He wasn't used to meeting up with friends, and he hadn't gotten coffee in a while.

He crossed the street, making sure to look both ways this time. Ironically, Three had unknowingly chosen X's favorite coffee stop.

X eventually made it to the simple but enjoyable pavilion. He scanned the area, eventually spotting Three sitting at a table near the big fountain, which was in the middle of the cobblestone circle. He waved at the flammette, and the other returned the greeting with a matching enthusiasm as he approached.

He slid into the seat in front of Three, smiling.

"Thank you for inviting me, Three. It means a lot." X said politely. Three laughed, waving it off.

"Don't worry about it, new friend! I haven't had coffee in a while anyway, so this is pretty refreshing!" Three replied. X nodded in agreement, and the waitress came to take their order.

"What would you two like today?" The waitress asked.

"A caramel latte with two extra shots of caramel, please." The both of them spoke at the same time. They stared at each other before bursting into laughter. The waitress smiled.

"Two caramel lattes, each with two extra shots of caramel. Is that all I can get you today?" The waitress asked. Three politely shook his head, still recovering from the scene.

The waitress nodded, retreating to complete their order. X wiped the corners of his eyes, smiling.

"How do you know my regular order?" X questioned in between quiet giggles.

Three's eyes widened in surprise. "No way, that was your usual? That's what I usually get too!" The two of them burst into laughter again at the coincidence just as the waitress returned with their drinks. She silently set them down, retreating to give the two their space.

X piped down just enough to take a sip of the coffee, and Three followed in suit. Between drinking, the two of them chatted about their lives, about their jobs, and eventually came to the topic of their friends.

"So, what's up with that 'Four' guy I met earlier? He was oddly twitchy." Three questioned, his face resting on his fists.

"Oh, Four? They're a childhood friend of mine! They're really nice once you get to know them- they're just really bad at first impressions." X informed the flammette. Three nodded, eyes bright.

"They just seemed familiar, is all." Three responded sheepishly. X giggled.

"They get that a lot. I don't think they mind you though." X replied. Three hummed in acknowledgment, drifting off to talk about something new.

The two continued to chat, eventually finishing their drinks. They split the bill fairly, and X left feeling content. He'd made a new friend, and had fun while at it!

He was happy, and everything was good.

For now.
