Taehyung's POV:

"You're pretty feisty, I'll give you that. But you don't scare me. I can pull this trigger anytime I want."

My heart thudded in my chest as I watched the standoff between her and the enemy's leader. Her fierce determination to protect me was both admirable and terrifying. I could see the intensity in her eyes, the unwavering resolve. It was a side of her I hadn't seen before, and it both frightened and awed me

"YOU DARE TO SHOOT MY LOVER?"

What..

Lover? Me?

My heart skipped a beat as her words echoed through the room. Lover. She'd just proclaimed me as her lover in front of everyone? the enemy's leader and the whole gang.. It wasn't exactly how I would've liked for things to unfold, but regardless, the word sent a strange feeling of warmth through my chest.. The enemy's leader just chuckled again.

"Lover, huh? That makes things interesting." He shifted his aim slightly, the gun still trained on me, a dangerous look in his eyes as he spoke,

"So are you ready to die for him, huh? How sweet. But I think I'll take my chances. After all, love makes people do stupid things."

My heart clenched at the enemy leader's words. I knew the threat was real, that the man might actually shoot me, but the look in her eyes, the way she'd just declared me as her lover filled me with a complex mix of emotions

"Shoot me instead of him." She finally spoke

What???

So that's how everything gonna end like this?

No I can't let ruin everything.. I can't fucking let this shit happen

I couldn't let her sacrifice herself for me, not like this!

"No" I said, my voice was stern but trembling, "Don't be crazy, don't do this." I said to her

"If you live by sacrificing my life, I would definitely do it!"

"I won't let you. Listen, I'm not letting you die for me, you hear me?" I couldn't bear the thought of her getting hurt, of her being sacrificed in my place. My heart throbbed with a sudden, painful realization: I loved her more than I could ever admit, and the thought of losing her for forever devastated me. She looked at him and chuckled like maniacally and he raised an eyebrow, clearly thrown off by her sudden change in demeanor. I was just as confused, my eyes were locked on her and trying to understand what she were doing. "What's so funny?" He asked, his grip on the gun faltering momentarily. "Happy journey.' she whispered lowly and signaled something to someone. His eyes widened in surprise and pain as Jungkook shot him from behind, a look of disbelief crossing his face before he slumped to the ground. I watched in a mixture of shock and fascination as she walked towards him, a smirk on her face and a maniacal chuckle escaping her lips. I'd never seen this side of her before, and it was both terrifying and strangely attractive

"Lock him in our basement." She commanded and the team members nodded, immediately moving to grab and tie him up, preparing to bring him to my basement. I saw her walking towards me,

"Was it good Mr. Kim? Are you satisfied?" She whispered and I was staring at her, my emotions a whirlwind of conflicting thoughts. I was impressed with how she'd handled the situation, her strength and determination unlike anything I'd seen before

But I was also scared, worried that she might be changing into someone I couldn't recognize anymore.

I took a step closer to her, "It was... effective." I admitted, my eyes were locking onto hers, trying to gauge her thoughts. But I wanted to say something more, to express the many thoughts and feelings swirling in my chest, but I couldn't find the words. The sight of her standing before me, strong, dangerous, and fiercely protective, stirred something deep within me. I was scared, yes, but I was also strangely drawn to her, like a moth to a flame. I shouldn't do this but I can't help myself

"Don't do something dangerous like this again" I said and she chuckled, "Don't worry, I won't" she paused, "So..let's go back to your mansion?" I nodded and started walking towards the exit, gesturing for her to follow

"Let's go."

My mind was a tangled mess as I was driving the car beside her, my eyes were darting to her face every now and then, taking in her features, the way her hair fell across her forehead, the way her clothing clung to her body in all the right ways. After a while, we reached to my mansion, the grand building looming imposingly in front of us. The guards opened the front door and I gestured for her to enter, my voice was steady and cool

"After you."

I watched as she was heading to her room, a mixture of emotions churning in his chest. Part of me wanted to follow her, to pull her into into arms and claim her as my own. But I held myself back, knowing that it was not the right moment. I froze when I saw her pause at the door of her room, my eyes meeting hers. My heart skipped a beat, the intensity of her gaze sending a shiver down my spine. I tried to maintain my cool demeanor, my expression betraying nothing of the turmoil I was feeling inside,

"Need something?" I asked coldly

"Needed.."

"Needed what? Speak up."

"The old you, the old Kim Taehyung whom I used to know."

"The old me, huh? He's gone. This is who I am now. Deal with it." I let out a humorless laugh, my voice was laced with bitter irony

"I know.." her voice was above a whisper, my cold demeanor faltered slightly at her bittersweet smile and silent nod. Seeing her acceptance of my change stung more than it should have. I pushed down the feeling, not wanting to let my true self surface

Without another word, I turned away, heading towards my own room opposite of her room. I was struggling to maintain my icy exterior, but her words had struck a chord in me, making me crave the warmth and connection I'd had with her in the past. I entered my room and shut the door behind me, leaning against it for a moment, my mind was filled with conflicting emotions. I wanted to burst out of the room and rush to her, to wrap her in my arms, to just be with her.
