Y/N's POV :
"Let's sit somewhere, me and taehyung wants to talk to you abt a matter.." I said
"Um, sure, let's sit.." she agreed, She followed us as we headed towards a nearby café, she took a seat slightly hesitantly. Taehyung and me sat side by side, our hands were still lightly connected. The café was cozy and quiet, providing a semi-private space for the upcoming conversation.
"We wanted to talk about something important" he stated calmly, meeting Seol-ya's gaze directly
"And it's about.... Jungkook." I added and Seol-ya's eyes widened at the mention of Jungkook's name. Her earlier shock and disbelief were quickly replaced by concern and worry. She leaned forward, her focus fully on the topic at hand
"What...what about Jungkook?" she asked, her tone was filled with anxious anticipation
"Um..we know what happened.. you guys stopped talking and he left you without saying anything -" I said in a kinda hesitating tone. Her expression became guarded, it was a clear sign that this was a sensitive topic. She averted her gaze, staring at the tabletop as if it held the answers
"How...how do you know about that?" she asked quietly, her voice was barely audible. Her fingers fidgeted with the edge of the table cloth, a small habit that betrayed her nervousness
"Jungkook..works under Taehyung.. and he told us about it" her eyes widened in surprise, the connection suddenly clicking into place. She had no idea about Jungkook's association with Taehyung and the mafia
"He...works for him?" She asked her voice trembling slightly. There was a mix of surprise and confusion in her eyes. Clearly, this was not something she had expected to hear
"Yes..also they're bestfriends." I said and her expression became even more shocked. The revelation that Jungkook and Taehyung were best friends came as a surprise, adding a whole new layer to the situation. That her boyfriend was not only working for a mafia boss, but also was best friends with him was a lot to take in
"Now listen.." I paused "Do you..want to..fix everything?" I asked her and she looked at me with uncertainty. The question was simple, but the implications were far-reaching. She bit her lip, her mind was clearly torn between emotions. she wanted to fix everything, but she was mad at Jungkook too
"No!!" She replied
"Huh?"
Seol-ya's response was firm - a clear 'no'. Her eyes held a mix of anger and hurt. It was clear that she was still upset and hurt by Jungkook's actions, not ready to forgive or forget yet
"You don't want him back?" Taehyung asked and she looked at Taehyung, Her heart was still conflicted, but her pride and hurt were dominant emotions
"No, I don't want him back" Her words were resolute, but the flicker of sadness in her eyes betrayed the turmoil beneath the surface
"Will you not forgive him if he himself apologizes?" He asked and her expression softened slightly, She thought for a moment, her heart was battling with her mind. She cared about Jungkook, loved him even, but the pain he had caused her was not easy to overlook
"He can apologize, but that doesn't mean I'll forgive him that easily." She said quietly
"It's complicated.." I whispered in Taehyung's ear and he nodded. He knew Seol-ya's heart was still aching from the recent break up, despite her resolute words. He knew this would not be an easy task, but he also knew he had to try. He leaned in, as he whispered back, "I know, but we have to at least try."
"Seol-ya" he began, his voice gentle yet sincere, "I know you're hurt, but just hear me out..." She looked at Taehyung, Her heart was still torn, the pain of the break up still fresh. But the gentle yet firm tone of Taehyung's voice made her hesitate. There was a part of her, deep down, that wanted to listen, to give Jungkook another chance
