Sora's eyes slowly opened when he felt something hit his stomach. He looked down at his chest and stomach, seeing the cards he was keeping to himself. Aya was standing next to his bed with fire in her eyes. "Well shit," Sora commented sarcastically. It took Aya long enough to see how many cards that Sora was hiding from Hatter. Most of those cards were from games he played or cards that Hatter already had. "I thought I hid them pretty good."

Sora sat up, letting the cards fall onto his lap.

"Are you trying to get yourself killed?" Aya asked.

"Most of those cards Hatter already has. He doesn't need the extras." Sora shrugged, resting his hands behind him.

Aya shook her head. "Sora, this is serious."

"To you."

"You just said most of these cards – what ones doesn't Hatter have? Don't you wanna go home?" Aya asked. There were days where Sora didn't mind if he stayed in this world, and there were other days where Sora wished he was back home. To be honest, it started out as an accident, Sora had put a card into his pocket after a game. When he went around collecting the other cards from the players who grabbed them on their way out, he totally forgot about the card in his pocket. It wasn't until he got back to his room that he found the card. Sora thought about just burning the card, but then he decided if Hatter wanted to hoard the cards, he could do the same.

Now, Aya didn't know that Hatter was starting to lose his mind, she might be seeing it, but she didn't know about the bodies. Sora wasn't planning on telling her that – especially when he was working alongside Chishiya and Kuina to steal Hatter's stack of cards.

"Hatter will never find out," Sora commented, gathering the cards. Sora was being stupid, he already knew that, and technically, Hatter was getting those cards. He slipped two or three into the stack when Sora decided to give him them. But unlike Chishiya, Sora didn't think collecting the cards was really the point of these games. He was going along with Chishiya's plan because he realized that the Beach wasn't everything he thought it was to begin with.

"Aren't you fucking scared to piss him off?" Aya asked.

"No, not really." Sora had dealt with worse from his own parents, whatever Hatter did to him, it wouldn't faze him. Sora was saying that, not seeing the scary part of Hatter.

Aya sighed heavily. "Fine, whatever, if he kills you, I'm going to pretend I don't fucking know you." Sora rolled his eyes as he hid the cards again, not caring that Aya saw their location. If she wanted to go up in the rankings, she could just steal them from Sora and hand them over to Hatter, but she wouldn't. Aya wanted nothing to do with the Beach from the very beginning, she always felt like it was a bad idea to go there.
