"There's a fire burning at the back of the building!" A player shouted.
Sora made his way down the stairs to meet Reika. The phone she grabbed was shoved into his hand before getting behind him. Sora wasn't sure how to even start this game. He knew the objective; he heard it from the dozens of phones. They had to find the witch – but that was like looking for a needle in a haystack. There were too many options to be the witch. Everyone at the Beach was a suspect.
"Find the one who murdered Momoka, then burn them in the Fire of Judgement." An repeated.
"A witch hunt?" Niragi pushed his way through the crowd. "This sounds interesting."
"The game has already begun." Usagi said.
"All right, let's search for the witch!" Niragi ordered. However, no one moved from their spot. They didn't know who the person could be who killed Momoka. No one was around after the announcement of Hatter's death; it seemed as if no one wanted to go out to a play without their faithful "God" that was Hatter. No one was in the lobby before the announcement of the game. Anyone could be the witch right now.
"What do we do?" Reika asked.
"I-I don't know." Sora truly didn't know what to do. Sora saw that players were starting to point fingers at each other, starting with the player who was friends with Momoka. Sora felt Reika grab the back of his hoodie, fearing for her own safety. Sora could hear Niragi ordering the militants to grab the girl to bring her to the fire. However, Usagi and Mira stopped them from causing the player harm.
It was Usagi who asked where everyone else was. No one spoke except for Niragi who seemed to be his normal bastard self. An stood up from Momoka's body. "Everyone will take turns reporting what they've been doing in the past hour." An ordered.
"There's blood on her!" One of the players pointed to An. She lifted the napkin in her hand.
"Don't get the wrong idea."
"Now, this is getting interesting. Could she be the witch?" Niragi said.
"You're wrong!" She held up the napkin. "This is Hatter's blood." Turns out that the Executives made the decision not to tell the players what really happened to Hatter. Sora confirmed that by Reika's confusion. "I was checking Hatter's body. That was when the blood got on it." An explained.
"His body?" A player questioned.
"Hatter was murdered."
Sora felt Reika grip the back of his hoodie. That really wasn't the right time to tell the players that Hatter was dead. They already had to worry about the witch hunt, they didn't need to worry about Hatter's death too. Someone asked why they kept that information from the rest of the players.
