"Five minutes remaining."
"A nice evening for a stroll,"
Sora chuckled. "Have I told you you're fucked up?"
Chishiya shook his head. "Not tonight, no." It was a common statement that Sora told Chishiya, and he liked it. It was the nicest compliment that Sora could give him. Sora shook his head, chuckling to himself. Of course, Chishiya would find that comment to be a compliment. Sora truly didn't mind it; it was fun to see Chishiya actually accept a compliment like that.
Sora continued to push those feelings towards Chishiya down. It wasn't the time nor the place to deal with that.
Sora walked behind Chishiya as they made their way to the floor where the safe zone was. Sora still had that feeling that the safe zone truly wasn't safe, but he'd deal with whatever was on the other side of that door. As the pair approached, the player from earlier rounded the corner quickly. The tagger was distracted by the other players, unaware that three of the players were about to enter the safe zone.
"So you realized that too?" Chishiya asked.
"Yes. The safe zone is in this apartment." The player said. Sora stopped, watching as the player wrapped his hand around the doorknob. He was hesitating, for good reason too.
Chishiya glanced down at the player's hand before looking back at him. "Aren't you going to open it?"
"Why did the tagger chase us?" The player asked. "They could have just waited here."
Sora couldn't help but wonder about the same thing, however they'd never know what was behind the door until it was open.
"Seems like there's something else we don't know." Chishiya stated. "However," he pulled out the phone, showing that they only had three minutes left to find out or they'd all blow up. "If you don't open it..." The player looked at the time ticking down faster, nodding his head.
"Three minutes until the game concludes."
The player continued to hesitate until he turned the knob. The door opened, revealing that it was the safe zone. The player peered inside until Chishiya pulled the door open. Sora looked around the door to the darkened apartment. The other male player entered the apartment first. Chishiya opened the door wide, letting the light from the outside fill the room slightly.
Sora pulled out the phone, turning on the flashlight. The apartment was bare, unlike every other place around them. Sora was surprised that they cleared out the apartment for this game. He couldn't help but wonder why. Sora shined the light around the room, trying to see if there was something they were missing.
The player approached the second door that was closed. Out of the corner of Sora's eye, he saw somebody moving behind them. Sora grabbed a hold of Chishiya's hips, yanking him back as the player shoved him in the chest. Chishiya found himself on top of Sora as a second tagger began to shoot at the players.
