In the back of Adrian's Rolls Royce, I giggle when he nips at a sensitive spot on my neck while he smooths his hands along my leg that is resting along his thigh.

"Adrian, stop it. There's a whole other person in the front seat," I tell him as I playfully push him away.

His hand slipping to the curve of my ass, he pulls me close, "He ain't worried about us; forget about him," he responds, kissing along my collarbone

His hand slipping to the curve of my ass, he pulls me close, "He ain't worried about us; forget about him," he responds, kissing along my collarbone.

"Easier said than done. Why are you being so pushy?"

"I haven't seen you in two days. I missed you. " He pulls back to see my face. "Didn't you miss me?"

Pressing my lips together, I walk my fingers along his arm with a shrug, "Kind of. What were you up to?"

"Finalizing the rough drafts for this house I'm having built. I want it done by the summer."

"Why do you want to bring XO here? Why not keep it in Toronto?" I wonder.

"It's a good idea to have two locations of operation." He leans his head back against the headrest. "Why are you worried about it?"

"Am I not allowed to ask questions about something I've been heavily a part of?"

"I'd think you wanna let that life go."

"Old habits die hard," I smile.

"Hm, well, what are your plans for the new year?" he changes the subject.

"I don't have plans to attend any parties if that's what you're asking."

"Then how about you spend it with me in Vegas."

"Really?" I tilt my head to the side, not expecting him to ask that.

"Why not?" he questions, and before I can answer, his driver lowers the partition to announce we've reached our destination.

Peering out the window expecting to see my apartment building, I'm surprised to see we're approaching a security gate, and I realize he didn't take me home like I thought he was doing.

"I thought you were taking me home, Adrian."

Running his hand along my thigh, he gets my attention, "I thought you could stay the night."

"What made you think I want to stay the night with you? I might have shit to do in the morning,"

"Cause every time I ask, you shut me down, or I gotta stay over your place. Tonight, I want you in my bed," he bites his lip, which makes me remove my legs from his lap as I roll my eyes in spurious annoyance.

"It's not always about you." I look away, crossing my arms.

"You really try'na tell me you ain't thought about me once since that night" he questions, and I feel my cheeks heat up when an electrifying shiver runs through my body at the memory of him touching me and how much I've wanted him since.
