Just getting out the shower not too long ago, I throw a comfy house dress on before I leave my room for the kitchen to make some popcorn and pour a glass of wine for dinner.

In front of the microwave while I wait for my popcorn to start cooking, I text my friend for updates about Callum. After I sent him to Jamaica so he wouldn't be in my way anymore, I sent someone to watch him to make sure he behaves and doesn't try to reach out to Abel. So far, I've been told he's been traveling all over the place with no real pattern.

Not too long ago I was told he was at a hotel in Negril, Jamaica. Now he's somewhere in Montego Bay laying low; he never stays in one place for no more than a couple days which is kind of smart. Though it makes me wonder what he's up to.

In the middle of typing out a message, I glance up when I hear the knocker on my door sound. My phone on the counter, I go see who could be bothering me at this hour. Peering through the peep hole, I shake my head before I open the door.

"What are you doing here, Adrian?" I place my hand on my hip as he holds up a brown bag and a bottle of Cîroc.

"You never got back to me about my dinner offer so I thought I'd make up your mind for you"

I cross my arms in amusement, "By coming here with food I didn't ask for? Isn't the gesture supposed to come from me?"

A shrug, Adrian steps a little closer invading my space making me feel small, "Well considering it's been over a week, Miss. Joliene, I figured you needed a little nudge"

"That's presumptuous. What if I wanted you to sweat a little?"

A smirk he turns his head to look both ways up and down the hallway, "Are you saying you don't want me here right now? I thought you liked what we did." He steps up to me peering down into my eyes. "I know I did"

A shiver running through me at the mention of what happened the last time I saw him, I turn my head hating how that night has crept into my thoughts late at night when I'm all alone.

"So, what. It's not going to happen again" I turn to walk into my apartment, and he comes in closing the door behind him.

"Why not? Worried about what Abel will say?" He wonders putting the food on the dining room table. "He doesn't have to know"

"Why would I worry about anything he has to say?" I go in the kitchen for cups, and I open my microwave remembering I had popcorn waiting on me. I hope it's not burned.

"Is that seriously all you were going to eat?" Adrian comes up behind me as I open the bag.

"It's low in calories" I say popping one in my mouth when I turn around.

"You're one of those health nuts I see" he takes the bag from me for a hand full to shove in his mouth.

"That was rude" I scowl, "and no I'm not a health nut, it's all I wanted tonight"
