Walking through the lobby of my apartment building, I make my way over to the elevators pressing the up button. Blowing a bubble, I pull my phone out to look at the few messages I have, none of them from either person I actually want to hear from. A deep sigh, I turn my screen off then drop the device in my bag.

It's been two weeks since Abel randomly called to check up on me. Since then, I've been keeping an eye out for one of his goons to be following me since he knows I'm here, but I haven't seen anything suspicious or out of the ordinary. Makes me wonder if he even cares I'm here.

The soft ding for an available elevator catching my attention, a set of doors open, and I step inside choosing my floor number. Riding up to my floor, I blow another bubble wondering what he's doing right now, if he's thinking about me like I always think about him. Belly told me he's going to be gone with that girl for at least a month. I'll never understand what he sees in her, what does she do for him that I can't?

These thoughts running through my mind, the elevator comes up on my floor and the doors open for me to step off. Leisurely walking down the hallway swinging my purse back and forth and I notice a figure standing near my door. A little closer I see its Callum.

"What was that little thing about not popping up on each other unexpectedly?" I come to a stop

"What was that little thing about not popping up on each other unexpectedly?" I come to a stop.

"I was in the neighborhood; thought I'd stop by." he shrugs stepping from in front of my door. "Where have you been?"

"Why?" I pull my key out. "Have you been waiting long?"

"No. I just got off not too long ago." He shoves his hands in his pockets.

"Ahh, I see" I tip my head opening the door. "That little girl must be gone." I smile stepping inside. Behind me, Callum closes and locks it before following me to the living room where I've tossed my purse on the couch to take my jacket off.
