Never imagining she would end up engaged to the man of her dreams, Nava Ellison is deeper in love and happier than she's ever been before. Back home, Nava begins adapting to this new, glamorous life she will soon share with Abel all while trying to...
After clipping my necklace around my neck, I walk over to the mirror to see how I look.
A gold embellished A-line mini dress; the mesh material clings to my curves in a way that compliments my figure. The sequins catching the light seeming to make me twinkle every which way I turn. Like a star. And I smiled, seeing the look Wesley was going for.
Abel really needs to hire her as my full-time stylist.

Running my hands along the skirt of my dress, I once again pull in a deep breath to settle the anxiety building in my stomach from the thought of being surrounded by people. I've avoided going in public up to this point, but I knew I couldn't hide inside forever. Although going to Dominic's house helped a little bit, there were no people around; it was just us.
The few times I've recently been out, the events weren't in crowded places, so my anxiety wasn't triggered. But tonight, and last night when Abel convinced me to go with him to check out the Las Vegas Marque with him, I've found it very hard to catch my breath. Even though we were in a section, the fact I was surrounded by strangers really set me on edge, I just couldn't shake the irrational feeling that I was being watched, and it was unsettling. Still, I never complained, I'm never going to get over this anxiety if I don't try.
Another deep breath, I pull myself together before turning to leave the bathroom.
Back in the bedroom, I grab my heels that are near the dresser to put them on one at a time, then grab my purse. Checking myself one more time in the full mirror, I take a moment to pull my half ponytail a little tighter before I turn to head out to the living room where I find Abel and Lamar are having a drink.
"To another successful year, man." Lamar boasts with a wide grin as he holds up his cup. "This album shot us straight past the moon,"
"And right into the fucking stars" Abel bumps his cup, "This tour is about to be wild, bro. We've never sold this many seats before, we might need to add a couple shows"
"You're in high demand, I'm sure we can add some dates. The fans would love that" Lamar agrees and I can't help wondering if Abel wants to add shows to prolong his tour since I don't want to try for another baby when it's over, then dismiss the thought in that same second. I know how much Abel loves going on tour; it's like a vacation for him, so the extra shows probably have nothing to do with our conversation this morning.
"A good portion of the year on the road, and you want to add shows." I come up beside Abel, and he takes my waist to pull me against his.
"Just giving the fans what they want," he presses a kiss to the side of my head, "You're beautiful, angel" he mumbles in my ear making a shiver run down my back and I smile.
"Thank you. Be sure to give Wesley her accolades." I peer up into his face, and he smirks before leaning down to kiss me.
"Hey, I'm still here," Lamar complains, "It's too early for all that, wait until midnight like everyone else," he laughs.
