3rd Person POV:

It was getting close to midterms and the atmosphere in Class 1-D was growing tense. The recent success in the quizzes had boosted morale in most of the students because Kushida's help in her study group. Her optimism had become like a beacon of hope for the class. Everyone seemed to believe that they might just make it through the midterms. There were still worries in the background and whispers of doubt that was gnawing at the edge of their optimism .

Y/n and Kushida walked around the cafeteria and spotted an upperclassman from Class-D .He was sitting by himself picking at his meal from the free food selection. Y/n's eyes narrowed as she began to approach him. She wanted to get the old test answers, so that her class could have a better chance of passing.

Y/n spoke first, she kept her voice calm and did not want to sound too desperate.
"We want the answers from the test two years ago and I'm willing to offer you 10,000 points for them."

The upperclassman didn't even look up to her and stared at his food continuing to chew slowly. "Thirty thousand," he replied without hesitation.

Kushida's eyes widened in surprise, her voice taking on that sweet, almost irresistible tone she used when she wanted something from someone. This would be an easy task for her, she could easily get anything she wanted from a low life guy like him.

Y/n always hated her voice though it was always so annoying.

"10,000 points," Y/n repeated firmly, her gaze was unwavering.

The upperclassman finally looked up and said, "I wil do Twenty-five thousand."

"No." said y/n.

Tension started to fill their air, but unexpectedly the upperclassman gave in and let out a deep sigh. "Fifteen thousand is my final offer"

Y/n considered 15,000 for a moment and then agreed. "That's a deal, but I want all previous quizzes too."

The upperclassman agreed and stated he would email them to her later that day.

As they walked away, Kushida seemed a bit confused. "Why didn't you let me push a better price?"

"I think 15,000 points was good enough. Also do you mind taking credit for this? I don't really like to draw attention to myself," Y/n said calmy. "Besides, it's better if you take the credit."

Kushida tilted her head feeling a bit confused, but she did not want instigate further. She was just happy she even got the answers from the upperclassman. Y/n had an odd approach, but it ended up working out in the end.

It was the day before the midterm and Kushida was passing out sheets of paper to her classmates. She smiled as she handed out the answers for the next day's test. The class was very happy about this. Horikita, on the other hand was skeptical as always. She glanced over at Ayanokoji, and he had that usual unreadable expression on his face.

The next day came quick and the test was over. Horikita could sense the uneasiness in the room as the class waited for their test results to come. When the teacher announced that everyone had passed...well everyone, but Sudo. Sudo had failed by one point and scored a 39. This would mean he would have to be expelled.

The teacher left the classroom after that. Ayanokoji said he had to use the bathroom and walked out the door. It wasn't long before Y/N also left the room, muttering something about needing to step out.

Horikita sat in her desk quietly watching them leave, her mind was all over the place. It felt like something odd was going on, and she had a hunch that it wasn't just about Sudo's failure. There was more to this, something beneath the surface that she couldn't quite see yet.
