3rd person pov:
Y/n stood before him, her face was flushed with a mix of different emotions all at once. She was standing there, her gaze lingering on him, searching for something, but also uncertain. Ayanokoji just looked at her, didn't even respond to her question.
"What a cute touching scene," Ryuen laughed as he gestured vaguely between y/n and Ayanokoji while Karuizawa looked irritated.
"Leave if you're bored" Ayanokoji said, in a flat tone as his eyes remained on y/n.
"What do you want y/n? Why are you even here?" Her was was dripping with jealousy, her arms were tightly crossed over her chest.
Y/n didnt bother to look at her. "This does not concern you."
Karuizawa stepped closer to y/n her fingers curling into a fist
"You think you can just walk back here and just--"
"Enough" Ayanokoji cut her off her rising anger, his tone was cold. She fell silent with wide eyes staring at him
Y/n went closer to Ayanokoji, focusing entirely on him. "I just dont get you," Y/n said in a soft but resolute voice. "I have spent so much time trying to understand you, but its like you a puzzle that keeps changing its pieces"
Ayanokoji tilted his hand slightly with an unreadable expression. "Im an excellent strategist and everything I do is calculated down to its core"
"Thats exactly the fucking problem" She said annoyed "Everything you do is calculated, every move word and even glance. It is like you're not even human, not even your own person even."
Karuizawa expression shifted into a mix of confusion. "What on Earth are you even going on about y/n?"
"Stay out of it," y/n snapped at her, giving her a sharp glare.
Ryuen laughed, "Oh this is priceless, your fan club seems to be growing. What's it like having them fight over you?"
"I said enough" Ayanokoji's voice dropped lower, his tone was carrying the weight that silenced everyone.
"Everything I do serves a purpose y/n that is just how I was raised, you wouldn't understand that. Its how you survive in this world."
Ryuen let out a low whistle breaking moment. "I should leave you two love birds alone, this isnt worth my time anymore."
"Ryuen go" Ayanokoji said without hesitation, his voice was even colder now
With a small shrug Ryuen pushed off the wall he was leaning on "Fine fine I get it, I dont wanna ruin y'alls moment" He shot a glance at Karuizawa "You might wanna stick around because it looks like someone has competition"
Karuizawa opened her moth to said something sarcastic back but Ryuen was already on his merry way. HIs laughter echoing down the corridor.
Karuizawa hesitated for a moment but her emotions got the better of her and she stormed off leaving y/n and Ayanokoji alone. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
"Why did you come back?" Ayanokoji asked quietly, the word slipping out before he could stop himself.
Y/N's gaze flickered to the side, avoiding his eyes. "I'm getting tired of pretending," she said softly, her voice was filled with regret. " I just want to see if you were more than the games you play."
Before he could respond, she closed the gap between them. Her hand reached to cup his face. Her touch was soft and gentle that felt foreign to him.
Then she kissed him.
Ayanokoji's heart skipped a beat. He opened his mouth to respond, but nothing came out. Instead, he watched her take a step back, her eyes still locked on his, though her expression had shifted again. She was distant now, unsure of herself again.
Ayanokoji realized that this was not a calculated move, his mind went blank. It was like his whole carefully constructed facade was crumbling. This was not part of a game anymore
It was real
