 3rd person pov:

The semester was over and it was finally time for summer vacation.  The summer sun casted long shadows over the school as Y/n was wandering through the campus gardens. The midterms were behind them and the tension that was there was slowly melting away.  There was something about the calmness that felt a bit unnatural, as if it was only a matter of time before something would happen.

Y/n found herself near the old storage building. It was very quiet which is why she liked it so much.  It was away from all the noise in the classroom.  When she approached the entrance of the building, she noticed something unusual.  The were a faint light flickering through a crack in the door.  Her curiosity got the better of her, so she opened up the door carefully.

The dim light revealed stacks of old desks and chairs.  Low voices coming from the far corner of the room caught y/n's attention. She stayed low and hidden behind a stack of chairs trying to move closer to see what was going on

A group of class C students were talking about something.  Y/n was only able to catch some words here and there about whatever they were talking about.

"They're too complacent... This is the perfect time to strike... No one will suspect a thing..."

Her heart raced. This wasn't just idle gossip, they were definitely planning something.  Maybe it was against Class D?

The door creaked open again and someone else entered the room.

Ayanokoji.

Ayanokoji's POV

I stepped into the storage room, his expression as unreadable as ever. He had been trailing the upperclassmen for a while, suspecting they were up to something. Now, he had the confirmation he needed.

But when I started walking closer to the group, he caught a glimpse of something—or rather, someone—in the shadows. It was Y/n, what the fuck is she doing here?

Atleast she was hidden well.  I paused and started considering my options. If she was here, she had probably heard enough to understand the situation. And if she had, she could either become an ally—or a liability.  Or what if this is part of Class C's plan?

I decided to pretend to not notice y/n and kept walking forward. "What's this about?" he asked.

The group turned to face him, having a surprised look on their face. "What are you doing here?" one of them demanded...she was well built with short blue hair, her voice was laced with suspicion.

"I could ask you the same thing," Ayanokoji replied coolly. "Planning something interesting for the summer?"

The leader of the group, a well built tall boy with somewhat long purple hair, sneered. "What's it to you? This doesn't concern Class 1-D."

Ayanokoji's eyes narrowed slightly at his comment. "That's where you're wrong. Anything that happens on this campus concerns all of us."

The tension in the room thickened.  Suddenly the leader of the group smirked and backed off. "Fine. Have it your way. But stay out of our business, if you know what's good for you Ayanokoji."

With that, the group filed out of the room, leaving Ayanokoji alone with his thoughts—and the knowledge that Y/N was still watching him from the shadows.

Y/N's POV

I waited until the upperclassmen had left before stepping out of her hiding spot. I locked eyes with Ayanokoji, my mind racing. He had known I was there the entire time, but he acted like I was never there in the first place, why?

"What were they talking about?" I asked, trying to keep her voice steady. I was very nervous, but tried not to show it too much.

Ayanokoji turned to face me fully

His  facial expression was unreadable as ever. "They're planning something," he said simply. "Something that could disrupt the campus order."

I frowned at his comment. "And we're, I mean you are just going to let them?"

Ayanokoji's gaze didn't waver. "I'm not here to play hero, Y/n." He glared at me  "If they try to disrupt balance within the school...then maybe I will intervene, but for now I am just going to watch."

I couldn't help but feel a mix of frustration towards him, but I knew I had to respect his decision. Ayanokoji always seemed to be one step ahead of everyone, but not me. At the same time do I also have a role in the play he is trying to orchestrate?

"You're not planning to tell anyone, are you?" I asked anyway even though I already knew the answer.

"Dont ask questions you already know the answer to" he replied calmly. "And you arent going to either y/n."

I crossed my arms and met his gaze with both determination and annoyance. "Maybe I should. If this is something that could hurt people..."

"They're not ready," Ayanokoji interrupted me, his voice got more serious. "If we act too soon, it could backfire on us. We have to be strategic about this."

My mind was racing, I started weighing his words. As much as I hated to admit it, he was right. Acting impulsively could do more harm than good. His statement didn't make it any easier to swallow though

"Alright I wont say anything...atleast not for now" I hated how right he was. "But I'm not just going to sit back and do nothing. I want to help."

Ayanokoji looked like he was studying me for a moment Then, with a slight nod, he said, "Alright. But we do this my way."

I will see what he has in mind, but I am not going to be like one of his little pawns like Horikita and Kushida.  I swear on it.
