A/N: I lowkey forgot about the 2nd part of the special exam on the cruise..so we're just gonna do a time skip and "pretend" it happened. If anyone forgot its when there was like 8 different groups and people had to guess the "VIP" identity to get class points. Also an important part to note from that exam is Ayanokoji finding out that Karuizawa is in a fake relationship with Hirata and that Karuizawa is found being targetted by 3 girls for pushing her friend and Ayanokoji saves her and swears he will always protect her. :p
Third person pov:
The classroom was filled with anticipation as the teacher was announcing the upcoming sports festival. Everyone's attention was drawn to the front as the teacher explained that Class D would be paired up with Class A. The rules were very strict. The rules stated that points can be gained or lost based on their performance and that they would have to plan their strategies on their own accord.
"More pe classes will be added to your schedule to help prepare for the festival", the teacher stated. "Use your time very wisely and remember what is at stake."
A smile formed across Sudo's face as he quickly claimed, "I can win most events and put me in all the voluntary ones." His confidence was high and some of the classmates even agreed with him.
Horikita suggested a different approach. "We should pair students based on skill levels, like a faster student with a slower student in the relay races. "
Before anyone could respond to Horikita's suggestion, Kauizawa's voice cut through it. "That is a terrible idea. We should just let people compete with what they enjoy doing."
The tension started building between her and Horikita, Y/n observed them quietly, she noted how easily Karuizawa was able to sway the class. Once it was time to vote, Y/n raised her hand in favor of Horikita's strategy. Ayanokoji staying true to his nature as always, chose to not participate in the voting.
Kauizawa got more votes than Horikita and the class praised her.
After class:
Y/n Pov:
As I packed up to leave, I noticed Kauizawa approaching Ayanokoji, curiosity got the better of me, so I lingered a bit to hear what they were saying.
"Why did you text me to oppose Horikita's idea?" Karuizawa asked with a slight edge in her voice.
Ayanokoji's response was calm. "There will be a traitor in the sports festival, so we need to keep our options open."
I watched Kuruizawa nodded to him, she looked convinced. They did not however see me, but their exchange only made me more curious.
The next day, our class gathered for a grip strength test. I felt like showing off a little and managed to record the highest among the girls at 45kg(99lb). The girls were pretty impressed and some of the guys even looked surprised. Ayanokoji took a glance at me for a moment.
"Sudo, what is the average grip strength?" Ayanokoji asked, while looking at the results.
"I don't know maybe around 60kg(132lb)" Sudo said calmly. Ayanokoji then effortlessly squeezed the grip to match that exact number. Hirata's eyes widened a little in surprise and I ended up catching myself staring at him too.
After the grip test we moved onto the three legged race practice. I noticed Horikita's partner was struggling to keep with her. I decided to walk towards her and said, "Horikita how about we partner up?" She looked at me a little skeptical, but reluctantly agreed.
