3rd person pov:
Everyone was back at the campus, they had a day off to prepare for the school day starting tomorrow. The cafe was bustling with students talking about the cruise ship. Y/n and Ayanokoji settled together in a booth in a quiet corner of the cafe. They had decided to meet up to discuss how they would move up to class A. Y/n was still pondering what Ayanokoji meant about seeing him as an ally or an enemy.
From a circular table, Hirata, Sudo, Karuizawa, Kushida, and Ike noticed the two with a mix of curiosity and mischief. They thought to maybe have a romantic scenario for y/n and Ayanokoji to mess around. The group started whispering and giggling to eachother thinking of what to do.
Y/n pov:
I was sitting across from Ayanokoji, it felt nice not having to stress about the cruise thing anymore. The soothing atmosphere of the cafe along with the aroma of the freshly brewed cafe calmed me down quite a bit.
I glanced at Ayanokoji and noticed a stray strand of hair sticking a bit out of place. I did not think much but before I knew it I reached across the table and gently fixed it. Our eyes met for a split second, but what felt like an insignificant gesture to me, I could not help but notice a slight change in Ayanokoji's demeanor. He did not seem to mind it, but it softened him a little.
Ayanokoji pov:
I was pretty absorbed in our discussion about reaching class A, but then felt Y/n's hand lightly brush against my hair. It caught me off guard, but I momentarily met her gaze. For a split second, I felt like a warmth creep up my neck. It was something I have never felt, not even from being in the white room. There was an unusual flush that I quickly attempted to suppress.
In the corner of my eye, I could see Karuizawa and Kushida exchanging whispers to each other as their eyes darted between Y/n and I. I couldn't shake the feeling that they might be trying to cause some mischief, but at the same time I did not care too much to do anything about it.
Third person pov:
Karuizawa leaned closer to Kushida, her eyes were sparkling with excitement. "Did you see that Kushida, the way y/n did that. Ayanokoji was definitely digging that for sure," she whispered. "We should do something, they look so natural together.
A few minutes later a waitress arrived at Y/n and Ayanokoji's table with a small, yet elegantly plated dessert. It was an assortment of small pastries and a very delicate, pink heart-shaped macaron. "It's on the house" The waiterress said, but Ayanokoji glanced at eachother and looked at her suspiciously as she walked away.
Y/n pov:
The dessert was kind of cute now that I look at it, but it definitely wasnt some random treat. I looked at ayanokoji again, who looked just as puzzled as I was.
"Looks like we got a special delivery," I laughed awkwardly as I gave him a small smile..
Ayanokoji just shrugged, though there was a faint blush on his cheeks. "Maybe someone is trying to make a point.." Ayanokoji seemed a little more relaxed, did he plan this? No it would be out of character for him to do so..and a little strange.
Ayanokoji pov:
I leaned back in my chair, my eyes were fixated on y/n. There was a pause that felt heavier than before.
"You know..." I wasnt really sure where I was going with this "In a place like this..relationships can be kind of useful. Not just in being an alliance, but..something more personal." What in the world was I saying?? "In can be a strategic advantage" I said a little flustered trying to brush off what I was just saying.
I couldn't deny this was having a really unusual effect on me, especially with the heart shape macaron. How childish.
"What do you mean ayano- I mean kiyotaka? She looked at me a bit confused with my statement.
"Oh I mean, it was nothing. I just wanted to see how you would react that's all." I gave her my normal expressionless behavior. This would probably trick her into thinking something completely different, atleast for now.
Third person pov:
Hirata and Sudo watched from across the cafe with their barely concealed grins. Hirata leaned into Sudo, whispering, "I think they might be hitting it off really well. This is turning out actually better than expected."
Sudo nodded with a broad smile on his face. "Yeah it actually seems to be going surprisingly well."
Karuizawa and Kushida continued to whisper cheefully, their plan seemed to be unfolding perfectly beneath their eyes.
Y/n pov:
"You aren't usually this flustered," I teased a little. "Is something wrong, Kiyotaka~" I started to like the way his given name sounded as I spoke.
His eyes widened just a bit and then he quickly shook his head. "No it is nothing, I was just a bit surprised, I suppose."
His response just made me more curious though. Was there more to what he was leading onto? I could tell he was genuinely caught off guard by this gesture.
Ayanokoji pov:
Y/n's teasing made me start to question myself. I was struggling to keep my usually indifferent demeanor. Her playful tone was messing with me and I was having a hard time trying to respond without revealing more than I intended.
I know y/n didn't plan this, but whoever did knows exactly what they are doing to try and distract me. To trick me even. I tried to redirect my thoughts by focusing on the dessert. "It's just a little unexpected," I said a bit shyly, my voice was a bit strained.
Third person pov:
Y/n and Ayanokoji continued their conversation, both of them were unaware of the true nature of their audience. The scene appeared all more romantic from afar with Ayanokoji's blush and y/n's gentle touch.
Karuizawa and Kushida's excitement grew as they watched their plan come into fruition. Though they remained oblivious to their classmates silly scheme, the cafe provided an unexpected moment between the two.
Y/n said she was going to head back to the dorms and Ayanokoji said he would catch up with y/n later and that he had to use the bathroom.
