"Do you think there's any way we can go outside today? I'm tired of being locked up here all day." Louis whined.
We hadn't spoken in three days and he still had the nerve to watch me, out of the corner of his eye of course, Louis wasn't one to apologize, just like me. Apologizing meant losing your pride while trying to make up for what you did wrong. And neither of us was ready for that. Call it masculinity, arrogance, or just plain stubbornness, but neither of us was going to admit defeat.
Liam sighed heavily, probably annoyed at how childish his whining was. "I can ask downstairs quickly, but I really doubt you can even step outside," and he stood up from his chair.
We sat in the dining room, our plates half empty, as we tried to make a plan for today. It seemed like the worst of the storm was over, but that was only what I could see.
The large room was overpowering with the smell of bacon, French toast, eggs, and syrup, and my mouth watered. The seven of us only fit at one of the large tables, one that reminded me of the tables at school where you ate lunch.
My eyes wandered to the other side of the table where Justin was sitting, talking to Heidi. Justin leaned down, brought the fork to his mouth and started chewing on the food, still looking at Heidi who was sipping her coffee.
I watched curiously. I didn't care what they were talking about, but I couldn't shake the warm feeling from my body as I watched Justin start to laugh at something Heidi said. Then when he suddenly choked on his scrambled eggs, my first instinct was to jump across the table and pat him on the back so he wouldn't choke on me. But he just grabbed a glass of orange juice and swallowed it all.
"Zayn, are you even listening to me?" Niall asked, sounding a little offended as he kicked me under the table to get my attention.
I quickly turned my face to him, the blonde still chewing on his waffles. "What did you say?"
Niall rolled his eyes and snorted. "I was just asking you what you'd like to do if we could go outside today."
I frowned at the thought, what big deal can you do in this weather? I doubt they'd let us walk up the mountains. "I don't know, maybe ski or snowboard."
Niall hummed in agreement. "If only we knew how to do it."
"It's pretty easy, almost like skateboarding, only you slide instead of rolling. You just have to be able to keep your balance," Justin interrupted, making me grimace as I realized he could hear our conversation from the other end of the table.
"Well, most people didn't grow up where it snows," Heidi said, rolling her eyes.
"It doesn't matter anyway, they wouldn't let us do either because the snow has probably covered the slopes. It's probably a death trip if you try," Justin replied.
Niall seemed not unimpressed that Justin had joined in our conversation. "Then what else could we do? Ice skating?"
I narrowed my eyes at Niall, not liking how interested he seemed in what Justin had to say. The way Niall looked at Justin as if he adored every single syllable Justin had to say. As if he was going to die, Justin stopped talking.
Justin didn't seem to notice how Niall seemed to adore every word that came out of his mouth as he pursed his lips. "I don't know, maybe, it depends if they even have a rink here, because if not, where would we get the skates from?" he laughed mischievously.
Niall's cheeks flushed as if Justin was either the most wonderful or horrible being he had ever met.
"Well, let's wait and see, we don't even know if we're allowed to set foot outside the hotel." Heidi sighed, folded her arms and we waited for Liam to come back.
"It's not like they can force us to stay here. We can go out if we want!" growled Louis.
"Come down, Louis. I just spoke to the lady at the counter, we're allowed out. The storm has moved on, the only thing we can't do is climb the mountains. There are urgent warnings but I don't think any of us could be stupid enough to want to climb such a steep mountain," said Liam and sat down next to Heidi again, reaching for his coffee cup.
Everyone's mood immediately brightened and we all started thinking about what we could do. Ideas came up like going for a walk on the wall, visiting the little shops or just walking through the streets to stretch our legs.
I, however, thought a little differently, I loved the warmth the hotel offered us, along with the food and the reasonably soft beds, but actually the white snow was inviting. I could easily imagine making a snowball and throwing it in Justin's face.
A grin crept onto my lips as I watched the boys and Heidi start to plan the day. Then I felt the two eyes that seemed to bore into my cheek. I looked to my right and saw Justin staring at me with the same grin on his face.
I winked at him and he laughed slightly, shaking his head and turning back to his food.

I had put a beanie on my messy hair and changed my shoes to winter boots instead of Chucks. I also wore a denim jacket with fur lining over the long shirt that kept me warm. I didn't forget the gloves either, but they were only ones that reached my ankles and I felt the warm tingle running down my spine from all the warm clothing.
I locked my suitcase, shoved my phone and wallet in my pocket and then started walking towards the door so I could join the other guys.
They had decided that we were going to the forest near the small town here, there was a small hiking trail and it should be safe because it didn't lead up. So as the weather was getting warmer we could easily follow the route.
I slammed the door behind me and found myself in an empty hallway, no one had left their room yet. And they always complain that I take too long.
I heard a door open and I saw Boots step out of a room in the house. Justin was wearing a black leather jacket, the thick blue sweater underneath was knitted just like the grey scarf and the whole thing was topped off with a black beanie.
I tried not to stare, wanted to make it seem like I didn't like the way he was dressed, that he didn't look incredibly attractive, but I unconsciously licked my lips and that ruined my plan. I could see the confident glint in his eyes as he strolled towards me.
"Are you sure you won't be cold? Jeans are never good if you're planning on walking through the snow," he commented as he ran his gaze up and down my body.
"It'll be fine, what about you Mr. Male Uggs, can you get any gayer?"
He rolled his eyes. "Just remember that when your toes are as black as your soul, wifey."
I was wearing thick boots with two pairs of wool socks, my feet wouldn't get cold so quickly. "Where are the others?" I tried to distract us both, his good looks really didn't leave my body completely untouched. The way that sweater clung to his torso but was still loose enough for me to pull him towards me so he could press me against the wall.
"They all went downstairs, it's just the two of us left here." He whispered, his eyes darkening and wandering to my lips, which were open as I tried to get some air.
"Then shouldn't we go downstairs too? They'll be waiting." I tried to pretend not to notice his behavior, even though my body was heating up even more.
He licked his lips. "Are you sure you want to go downstairs now?"
I grabbed the arm that had somehow gotten over my head. He tried to pin me to the wall again and if only he knew how much that turned me on. I pushed the arm away and made him stumble forward so that we were standing chest to chest.
He hummed, brushing his lips against mine, igniting the usual incredible sparks, and I let my hands wander to the back of his neck so I could pull him to me. I moaned softly as our lips met. There was no sweetness in the kiss, no flattery. You could only taste the hunger and desire. With the boys and Heidi around us, we couldn't make out as often as we'd like, we had to be twice as careful about acting on our desires. The kisses were all secret, as was the sex, but neither of us could hold back. It seemed as if we were tied to each other either so we could insult or annoy each other or just so we could touch each other.
I deepened the kiss, slipping my tongue into his mouth and sighing as I felt his tongue. My hands stroked his back, pulling him closer to me as his hands found their way to my beanie.
The layers of clothes or blankets could never bring this kind of warmth to me, this touch of our lips sent heat through my veins that made my blood boil. I felt like a fly that couldn't stay away from the light even though I was lost when I touched it. The little electric shocks shot through my body as it moved against Justin's. My knees went weak and I felt like a popsicle in the summer. Melting unstoppably, against my will.

"Finally, it looks like we have the whole day?" Heidi threw her arms in the air in exasperation as we finally stepped out of the elevator. The guys were all already sitting on the chairs or the sofa in the lobby.
"I said so too, but Justin couldn't decide what shoes to wear," I replied, nodding my head in the direction of the named man, who put on his beanie that I had thrown on the floor just a few minutes earlier.
"And Zayn still had to fix his make-up because he was afraid someone would see his flaws," Justin replied, straightening his jacket.
"We get it, you're both drag queens, so can we go now?" Heidi said demandingly, grabbed Liam's hand and pulled him up from his chair.
"Yeah, let's go. We should be back in a little over an hour because it's not good to be out and about while it's dark," Liam said and began to lead us out of the hotel.
Niall came over to me, wearing a thick hoodie with a jacket thrown over it and leather basketball shoes. "Are you ready? I can't wait to play in the snow again." (Omg, that translation^^)
I just shrugged. "I'm just glad we're outside again. I swear, sometimes we're like bears hibernating."
Niall suddenly laughed and pointed at my head. "Hey, your hat's about to fall off!"
I reached up and saw Justin's grin out of the corner of my eye as he absently listened to whatever Heidi was telling him. Bastard.
"I'm looking forward to throwing snowballs in certain people's faces." I said loud enough for Justin to hear and he looked over at me, challenge flashing in his eyes.
"You better watch out, Zayn, or you'll end up with blue balls."
I rolled my eyes and focused on Niall, who was laughing his ass off at Justin's joke. He just rolled his eyes as Niall tried to get some air and we all made our way to the automatic doors.
When the door opened we were met with a sudden wall of cold that sent an icy shiver down my spine. I rubbed my arms to warm myself up a bit, it was really cold.
The sun shone brightly through the snow-white clouds and it blinded me as I followed Liam, Justin and Heidi, Louis and Harry strolled behind me and Niall.
"Okay, the woman at the reception told me that the hiking trail starts over there." Liam pointed across the empty street to a small icy sign.
Liam led the group in that direction, the road was slippery and I had to hold onto Niall to keep from falling. When we reached the beginning of the path I felt myself slowly getting used to the cold.
Our breath was visible, light snow was falling as the wind swept through the snowdrifts, making it look like it was snowing lightly and softly. You could hear the sounds of our voices, our feet crunching on the ground and the soft whisper of the wind that kept sending little shivers down my spine because of the coolness. I soon wished we hadn't left the hotel. But
once we had covered the first half mile of the unstructured path I was amazed at how beautiful it was here. I had never taken my eyes off what was in front of me, when I turned and looked around I realized how pretty the branches were covered in snow. And how cute the mountains looked with their snow coats. I was suddenly struck by how beautiful nature was.
I enjoyed the beauty and silence, didn't speak to anyone as I took in the view of the large frozen lake. I felt like I could slide across it, even though I didn't have any skates.
It was the feeling of something hitting my cheek that brought me out of my trance. I looked around and saw a bright red Niall, who I blinked at with an incredulous face. I was somehow shocked that it was him of all people who started the snowball fight and not me.
I bent down and hurried to make a snowball myself, but hissed when I felt the icy cold on my fingertips as soon as I had formed a ball. I took aim and threw it at Niall, but he also dodged and the snowball shattered on a tree a few centimeters away from Liam. Liam looked up, astonished.
Liam automatically dropped to his knees and began to push snow together to build a protective wall. Laughing, I did the same and tried another snowball.
"Oh no, you didn't, Liam James Payne. You didn't just throw my ass off!" Louis shouted and I could hear Liam trying to apologize but then being overcome by laughter.
And when Louis threw a snowball at Liam, that was what broke the dam. However, the ball didn't hit Liam but Heidi, who gave him an angry look but formed a ball of snow and threw it back. Louis was smart though and pushed Harry in front of him, who just blinked in surprise when the snowball hit him. "W-what?"
Everyone scattered behind fallen trees, trying to hide so they could throw the others off better, and you could hear something like "Are you serious?" "You have to be able to hit!" "Ouch! What the hell, not the face?!" or "Try again, asshole!". I ran away from a sadistic Niall, who had more than one snowball in his hand and was chasing me.
"Niall, stop! That hurts like hell!" I shouted as he hit my back several times in a row. "What did you put in there? Rocks?" I demanded, hiding behind a tree, trying to escape his bullets.
He just laughed evilly and shoveled more snow, throwing it at me, but the ball shattered against the bark of the tree. I bent down and threw a snowball too. It hit Niall right on the forehead and he flinched in shock. I burst into loud laughter when I saw the look on his face, with the snow in his eyebrows. He looked frighteningly similar to Jack Frost.
I made another ball and threw it again, but only hit the tree when I heard Niall shout: "You'll pay for this, Zayn!"
I just laughed and made five more snowballs, placing them at the roots of a tree. I prepared myself for the fight. Niall was such a bad loser and I couldn't wait to hear him whine and bitch when I hit him on the butt.
I waited tensely, wondering where he was. I couldn't hear any footsteps coming closer. I waited for the snap of a twig, the crunch of snow or even just Niall calling.
Pressing my back against the bark, I carefully looked over my shoulder, letting my gaze wander over the undergrowth. I couldn't see or hear anything. I took that as a good sign, he just hadn't found me yet, but I knew Niall wouldn't give up easily.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, the cold air filled my lungs and I exhaled shakily, opening my eyes, letting the silence bring me down. My mind started to wander and I couldn't help but think about Justin, he hadn't thrown a single snowball at me but well, Heidi threw and took snowballs at him like she had endless snowballs in her pockets.
I hated the way Niall stared at Justin, the way he looked up at him like he was a god. His eyes always seemed to shine when he was aware of Justin's presence. They weren't friends but you could see that Niall wanted this very much, he wanted to be a part of Justin's life. And that made me angry, I didn't want him anywhere near Justin.
Suddenly I heard footsteps and a groan as if Niall had hit his foot on something or tripped over it like I had when I ran down the hill. I reached down and grabbed one of the cold balls and turned around to see Niall stumbling out of the bushes. I took aim but the ball whizzed past his right cheek and smacked against a tree trunk. Niall wrinkled his nose in surprise and flinched slightly.
"Nice try, motherfucker." Niall sneered but the amusement was clear in his voice at my missing him.
I cursed under my breath and grabbed another ball, turning around again to see Niall raking up snow so he could prepare himself for my attack. I poked my head out from my hiding place and that was probably a mistake because something cold smacked hard against my forehead.
I cried out in surprise and picked up the snowballs and quickly ran from the hiding place I was in behind another tree. I tried not to get hit but I felt something cold hit my leg.
"Why are you scared, Zayn? Do you think you're going to lose?" he teased me.
I only responded with a snowball that hit him in the arm. "Why did you choose me as a victim when it could have been Justin Bieber?"
Niall's eyes widened. "Because I couldn't find him, he was too busy hitting Heidi in the face with a snowball, why?" I clenched my hands
into fists, pressing the ice together tighter. "Because you seem to have a crush on him."
Niall looked at me sideways. "He's my idol, of course I look up to him. What does that have to do with you?"
"I think it's just pretty weird the way you stare at him like he's Jesus Christ himself." My anger grew and a snowball burst because I clenched it too tightly.
Niall's brows shot up and he automatically went on the defensive. "And now? Am I not allowed to do that? Am I not allowed to worship him like every fan does? Am he only allowed to be your friend and not mine? Last time I checked, Zayn, you couldn't stand the guy."
That was the last straw that broke the camel's back. I swung the ball straight at his crotch, but missed, hitting his lower hip. Anger flared in his eyes. He swung too and hit me full force in the forehead.
The force with which it hit me made me back away slightly. I stepped on something and slipped, stumbling further. My knees buckled and I fell backwards to the ground. But it didn't stop there, I kept sliding down, unable to stop it. I had nowhere to hold on to as I began to roll down the small hill. My body twisted and curled up as I hit rocks, helplessly grasping at twigs, trying to find anything to stop me from sliding down. My name was called but when it came, it was already gone, lost in the thin and cold air as the sound grew fainter the further away it was.
"ZAYN!"
