Part 2 of 2, final.
------------------------------------------

Everything stopped for George in that moment and all I could focus on was their kiss. His eyes were on fire. George felt that weird sensation in his stomach again. He saw Delilah pull away from the kiss and she placed her head on Pierre's shoulder watching the fireworks. Pierre wrapped his hand around her waist, and George's jealousy was raging in that moment.

That should be my hand around her waist, he thought to himself.

Was George finally seeing that deep down, he may be in love with his childhood best friend?

4 Months Later

Things had become a blur for George since his NYE's party. Breaking up with Melody, struggling with the new season and dealing with the consequences of inadvertently introducing Delilah to Pierre, had all become too much.

Since his party, Melody had attempted to apologize and weasel her way back into George's life, but he wasn't having it. Sure there was one point where he did love her, but seeing how she treated someone so important in his life, it was the final straw.

A few days after New Years, the annual ski trip came around and Delilah was not the same. Everyone noticed how quiet she had become, retreating into a shell of herself. Despite George and the others telling her not to listen to Melody's poisonous words, she couldn't help but let them consume her thoughts.

On the fourth day of their ski trip, things turned around when Delilah pulled herself out of those thoughts and started to feel better. Like the universe could feel her positivity, a text from Pierre came that very same day. Kicking her feet and giggling like a high schooler with her first crush, Delilah found herself perking up every time she heard her phone chime and Pierre's name flashed on her screen.

This didn't go unnoticed by George, who tensed up every time she smiled at her phone and ran off to another room to chat with Pierre. He tried ignoring the brewing storm in his heart, but it was nearly impossible when Delilah was everywhere and everything to him.

The weeks passed on and Delilah and Pierre had gotten closer and closer. They talked nearly all day every day. Today, Pierre suggested he take Delilah to a small fair down at the Monaco Harbor out of the blue. He had called her earlier this morning. She was confused mainly because he didn't live in the principality.

"But Pierre, you live in Milan. How do you know there's a fair going on?"

"I may or may not have asked Charles....and I may or may not have booked a weekend in Monaco in hopes of seeing you. I hope that's okay?"

Delilah smiled at her phone as she heard Pierre speaking. "More than okay."

"Great, I'll pick you up in an hour?"

"Sounds great Pierre."

The fair had been the most fun Delilah had in such a long time. She felt at ease, like she could be herself. She found herself laughing till her head spun, eyes crinkling with happiness every time Pierre made a joke. She had to admit, the Frenchman was hilarious and such a gossip.

Unbeknownst to Delilah, Pierre had a reason for flying out to Monaco for the weekend. He knew it was too soon to ask her to be his girlfriend, but he wanted to show her his intentions. He wanted to ask her to start dating and see where things would go. Pierre was really smitten with Delilah and he wanted to show her how much he cared.
