"mr. sinclair was up my ass for being five minutes late." audrey sighed as she took a bite out her food. she had been late for five minutes because she couldn't find a parking spot and the man had completely lost it.

"that's why he doesn't have a wife." bailey replied and then looked over at their other friend who was too busy staring at her phone, scrolling through someone's instagram. "what are you looking at?"

"nicole's instagram." alyssa answered as she swiped her finger, a deep frown on her face. "i can't believe she dumped me for this basic bitch."

"she's pretty cool." audrey shrugged, she didn't like to talk bad about other women— it sends the feminist movement back fifty years, in her mind men were the problem well in this case i guess it was nicole, the one exception.

"she's actually pretty nice." bailey added, she didn't see the point in hating on the girl when she did nothing wrong.

"sorry, didn't realize you guys were scissor sisters." alyssa widened her eyes as she raised her hands in mock surrender.

"i'm just saying i mean—" bailey began but was cut off by alyssa leaning in closer, whispering to them so no one else around them would hear.

"be honest, is everyone talking about my nose?"

"um..." bailey and audrey both looked at each other, they were sure that some people talked about it because everyone talked about everything here.

"no one's said anything to me." bailey responded and then alyssa turned towards audrey, raising her eyebrows in anticipation.

audrey gave her a small smile. "i haven't heard anything." and alyssa knew that audrey knew everything.

"they've definitely noticed." alyssa looked around the cafeteria, narrowing her eyes at all of the people. "i can feel the attention."
