Y/N stared at the note in her hand, the words replaying in her mind and over again. She couldn't believe it. A secret admirer? Of her? She tucked the noted away in her bag, her thoughts swirling as she left the school.
As she walked home, the warm afternoon sun filtering through the trees, she found herself lost in thought. She couldn't help but wonder who it could be.
Was it someone I know?
The thought brought a shy smile to her face.
Later that evening, after she'd finished her homework and settled into bed, her phone buzzed with a message. It was from the group chat with Akaashi and Bokuto.
DETECTIVE SQUAD 🕵🏻♂️
Bokuto
Yo! What's everyone up at night? Anyonee up for a late-night hangout this weekend?Y/N
Depends on how much homework I have, but I'm down! What about you, Akaashi?Akaashi
I should be free.Bokuto
Awesome! Let's do it then. I'll plan something fun!Y/N giggled softly to herself as she placed her phone back down. But despite the light-hearted conversation, her mind kept drifting back to the note she had found in her locker. She wondered if she should tell Akaashi or Bokuto about it but decided to keep it to herself for now. It was her little mystery to solve.

The next day, school went on as usual, but Y/N couldn't shake the feeling of anticipation. She couldn't help but glance around more than usual, wondering if her secret admirer was watching. Throughout the day, her eyes would unconsciously drift toward Akaashi whenever they were near each other, her heart fluttering with thoughts of what-ifs.
During lunch, the trio sat together again. Bokuto, ever the chatterbox, was going on about his excitement for the weekend. Y/N tried to focus on his animated conversation, but her thoughts kept circling back to the note.
Just as they were finishing lunch, Akaashi's voice cut through Y/N's thoughts. "You seem distracted," he said quietly, his dark eyes observing her closely.
Y/N blinked, snapping back to reality. "Oh, I'm fine," she said quickly, offering a small smile. "Just a lot on my mind."
Akaashi didn't push further but gave her a knowing look. He seemed to sense something was off but respected her silence.
The bell rang again, and as the trio stood to leave, Y/N felt that same nervous energy she'd felt the day before. She couldn't tell if it was because of Akaashi or the note, but either way, her emotions were all over the place.
As they headed to their respective classes, Y/N's mind drifted back to the note once more. She knew she couldn't keep this to herself forever. But what if telling Akaashi or Bokuto changed everything? What if the mystery of the admirer was never solved? And worse, what if it was solved, but the answer wasn't what she wanted?
She sighed, feeling the weight of uncertainty settle over her.
Little did she know, things were about to get even more complicated.
