The Love That Saved Me 💗

How it all started.

Hey, my name is Malak. My life is... well complicated. You see, I've always had this thing of wanting to feel loved and appreciated by someone who.... your answer will probably be "oh isn't that what's family?" Well, yes. But my expectations were MUCH higher than that. As I grew up, family just got... bland and honestly kinda forced. This is what I thought off as family love all the time: You're provided with 2 caregivers who aren't even up to you who you're EXPECTED to love with all your heart and if you don't, you're considered weird.

Still true, but you don't have to agree with me. Anyways, yeah. I didn't really pay too much attention to this craving of mine, until I started getting older and also.... when the pandemic started. As soon as the cases got so bad, I was SHOVED into lockdown like everyone else and had online school, meaning no one except my family was there to provide it. I lost all my social skills and self confidence. I thought that my life was gonna be thrown away at screens all day. The cases even got so bad to the point that my parents kept me in homeschooling when my school allowed people to go back on campus if they wanted too.

During this time period, it was announced that my dad had caught covid meaning that everyone had to be isolated in their rooms with masks on. I felt so lonely and thought my family would never be the same...

After the cases significantly decreased and the homeschooling period was over, I was NOT ready to go back. Not after a year and a half of being locked away from everyone else. Keep in mind that all of this started in mid 2020 and I got back on campus in September 2021.

Back to the point, when I did go back, all my friends told me how much they missed me and how happy they were to see me. I was glad to see people care about me, but it wasn't what I was looking for my whole life. When I was on my way to class, I saw my favorite teacher next to the stairs. Her name is myl (my music teacher) and she's been my favorite teacher eversince I could remember! 😅💕 Little did I know that the next moment was about to change my life forever... I went up to and hugged her. She hugged me back and screamed my name full of pride and joy! 🫶🏻💗 Wow. That was so sweet of her. That's exactly the love I've been looking for all my life! 💗💗 For the next month, I didn't think too much off it. I carried on with the school year like usual. Until November 19th, 2021, that's the day my attachment first started...
