Later that day...
"You're very lucky we're going to a private location." He pointed at her outfit and she looked down at it.

"You don't like it?" Marlene asked grabbing a jacket.
"Oh I love it but I don't want other men hitting on you." Marlene walked over to him laughing. "I'm for real bae."
"I know you are but you have nothing to worry about hun. I'm wearing this because I had three kids."
He scrunched his face up in confusion. "What does that have to do with anything?"
"I'm finally loving my body again so I'm going to show it off. I won't always wear clothes like this but I'm proud of my body and I'm gonna show it off." She gave him a kiss.
"So I can walk around with no shirt?" He questioned.
"Like you already don't." She grabbed her phone and purse. "I'm ready when you are." He grabbed her hand and walked out the door with her.
Thirty minutes later...
"If I knew we were having dinner on the beach I wouldn't have worn heels." Marlene said pointing at her shoes in her hand as they stepped on the sand.
"Next time I'll give you a warning." She gave him the 'no you won't' look and he laughed. "Or I won't, now this dinner is a surprise, I mean after all it's your surprise birthday dinner so here."
He gave her a blindfold and she shook her head pushing his hand away. "I'm not ruining my makeup to put that on."
"Bae please just put it on." She sighed taking it from him. "Thank you."
"Mhm." Joshua led her down the beach to where they were having dinner at. He let go of his hand and walked a few inches in front of her before noticed his presence was gone. "Babe?"
"Go ahead and take your blindfold off." He instructed her. She carefully took off the blindfold.

Her jaw dropped as she took in the serenity. As she mouthed the words of sign behind Joshua he got down on one knee pulling the ring box out.
"Marley I could sit here and tell you how much you mean to me but I believe these past three years, well almost three speaks for itself. We had our ups and downs throughout the years but we were able to overcome it all. I love you so much and I'm grateful that I get to call you the mother of my children. I want to build our future together and I want to do it now. And this time I want to do it right so Marlene Skylar Michaels, will you marry me?" He asked and Marlene wiped a few stray tears as he opened the black box.

"Yes." She mumbled walking towards him. As she made it to him he stood up and she embraced him with a hug before kissing him.
